Chris liking that sailor Moon t-shirt gives me hope that one day he'll unveil his Sailor Moon cosplay at one of the cons. Cheap white Lycra stretched across a misshapen potatoe body, mini skirt tucked into aged discoloured panties, spindly legs and dirty sneakers, wispy lank blue hair clinging to his balding head by the weight of a plastic tiara. How could all the lesbian, bi and straight women resist?

Could you imagine if men started praising and promoting their "penis power" as much as these women who promote "vagina power"?

Tumblr would have a complete meltdown.

And Chris would make a strongly worded Facebook post how about how he's cyber bullied and he's scared of going to certain sites because seeing all the dick promotion there makes him sick.

Marvin believes Chris is genuine, but most agree that Chris is chasing this ideology because he has nothing else left in life, and it accommodates his psychological needs (hope of sex, being around women, stimulating his brain with bright colors, not having to grow up). As far as cross-gender feelings, Chris is physiologically a man driven by testosterone, but socially he does not understand gender or why women actually do certain things. So, Chris is just a failed opportunist.

I think the "Chris is being honest about it" school of thought (to which I belong) is not a million miles away from what you are saying.

We don't necessarily think that Chris is "legitimately transgender", in that what is going on with him is approximately the same as what goes on with your average transgendered person.

It's more that he has some very weird and juvenile feelings about men and women which have led him to conclude that he is a woman. He legitimately has those feelings, so he is not "faking" being transgender. But if, for example, he was open to and went through extensive therapy, those feelings might be resolved and he would return to being male.

Frankly, I don't think Chris is capable of faking it for this long. If it has always been a ploy to get sex, he would have messed it up in some way, and we would have fairly incontrovertable evidence of his scam. The fact that he hasn't suggests strongly to me that, at least on the surface, he legitimately believes it.

I think he does see a genuine, if misguided, connection between say, a tranny getting kicked out of a rest room, and TomGirl Chris getting kicked out it. Remember, he wasn't kicked out of places for being a exceptional individual, they were just scared of his autism, or some other excuse. When he reads about hate on LGBT people, he won't see beyond anything other than "That happened to me too!"

The constant, incessant attention whoring is another commonality. "I just want to be loved! Just accept me for who I am! I'm a loving person!" is more common ground that attracts Chris.

So yeah, I think Chris is being truly honest in his embracing of the LGBT community, but I doubt he understand it any deeper than just what is on the surface.

You're right, he believes that he believes it. The only reason I believe he has not give it up is because his mental health and delusions are getting worse, and because he literally has nothing else.

He believes the stereotype that men are brutes and women are delicate flowers. Since he is a "delicate flower," (read: weak sheltered manchild,) he has decided that, deep down, this also makes him a woman.

To borrow just a pinch of Chris' autism:

If we lived in an alternate reality where everything was the same, except that outdated gender stereotypes were reversed, Chris would have no problem with being a man.

For a while Chris tried to toe the line of lesbians=good but gays=bad. But the logic in that was so flawed that it caved in on itself to a level that even Chris could see it.

But I also don't think his earlier homophobia was particularly deep rooted. Combine some values from his old-school southern father with a general distaste for men. Add in a bunch of trolls constantly saying "hurr, hurr Chris is gay". Keep in mind that Chris is an idiot who always blurts out the first thing on his addled mind. You are going to get some pretty dumb, homophobic shit coming from him.
