Hasbro yes, Takara no.

MP-36 Megatron came out in 2018, so it's on the market and this is Chris we're discussing so being smart over money is not a factor to be considered in terms of him being able to acquire it. MP-5 is much older and would likely be cheaper, but the engineering is dated and he'd likely break it trying to transform it.

However, he likely wouldn't buy a Gun Megatron simply because it doesn't fire pellets like the original (reissue) that he had.

Yeah, but if he wanted to get the Takara Tomy ones, he'd have to deal with tarrifs.

He could get pellets for the G1 Megatron.

In addition, He could spend $300-$500 to get a OG Japan G1 Megatron on eBay.

but knowing Caden, he would not allow Chris to buy it due to the fact that he would shoot the pellet at someone's chest and Caden would lose control of him, which he does not want.

Chris has to obey Caden's rules or else he's homeless.

Chris is going out into the wild to promote his nonsense. Chris "interacting" with the normies about his bullshit has a tendency to not work out well. Just one "hey motherfucker" at the wrong time could lead to fireworks. Similarly, him hefting a bunch of his shitty merch into stores to hang on the shelves to take pictures of could also lead to hijinks.
