I'm guessing Caden wants more control over Chris, specifically to get him to do stuff that attracts more attention and potentially, more donations.

I am getting sick of living in this timeline, when are both of them going to croak?
 
No one likes aging, but you can either age gracefully and accept it or live in denial. But few people can say with a straight face they literally don't age.

Yeah I wonder too. Not like he was particularly attractive or athletic or successful then. Some people miss being able to do sports and party and have a lot of energy but I don't think Chris did any of that

According to the CWCki, it was the year he graduated PVCC, and Megan was still friendly with him. It also states that was the year he started getting credit and buying shit at random.

My guess that 2007 and his discovery really fucked him up, and 2006 was the last year before reality hit.

I would've guessed he'd be more nostalgic for like...2000 and want to go back there.

18th birthday, 'galpals' at school (presumably Bob didn't pay ALL of them...), living in the clean condo in Richmond instead of the Snorlax hoard of 14BLC, Bob wasn't half dead and Blarb wasn't so crazy, and those dang dirty trolls were nearly a decade away still.

24 makes more sense within the context of the life of Chris. 21 is an age glorified by society, particularly for notable milestones like being able to drink in America. A lot of old people I know say if they could go bak to any age, 21 is a default but they often pick a year of significance like the birth of their kids/marriage.

However, if we look at Chris's experiences of being 24:

His 24th birthday was at the game place, somewhere he obviously enjoyed being
He was still in contact with Megan who he considered his sweetheart
Bob was alive
Sonichu was in its early stages with issues still being made
Chris FINALLY Graduated which although he resented on the day, was a big sense of his self pride and made him feel socially important
Patti was still alive (for some of it, I think she died when he was 24 but the point still stands nonetheless)
The PSTriple was in its early days, and as Chris was such a Sony fanboy, he was excited for its future
Trolling was more disorganised and documentation of his life was not overly bearing
He even (according the the cwcki) still believed in fucking Santa at 24 so its fair to say he was living in the bliss of ignorance

Now granted, if he were somehow magically able to preserve himself at 24 many of these factors are not relevant in the modern day. But Chris is ALL about wishful thinking these days, and its fair to say that he views these events as the "peak" of his life.

Yeah, I would have thought he would have picked sixteen since he says that birthday was the best day of his life and he keeps trying to recreate his high school days with lego and force his "gal pals" to hang out with him. Sure 24 was before the trolling but if you read the things he wrote and did at the time he was still very unhappy back then and getting kicked out of places, so it feels like an odd choice.
