Containment Random Chris Updates

Chris is all of those things that you said, but you have to remember that for most of his life he was either just tolerated or his "friends" were just paid off.
But why was he never able to make friends in the first place, even before he became a degenerate freak?

Fun reminder: Chris consulted with his ally deities before deciding to fuck his mom..

You're right, I wanted to grab a screenshot but then I forgot lol. It's from a DM he sent to Null when he was bragging about having a gf, here's the thread.

This is the only friend we know he had and he draw him with a face full of pimples. Chris is such an asshole.

What if he's had an excessive ego, even when he was little?
For sure, I bet he was one of those kids that would not let anyone else touch "his" toys, even if they were the school's. And any hope of normal socialization was thrown out of the window once Borb decided that "mainstreaming" him (aka doing nothing but letting him watch cartoons and play video games all day) was the way to go.

I think this is the exact reason. When friends get together, they doing things together. Chris has always been incapable of that because he only wants to do the stuff he wants to do. I'm fairly certain that's why when he'd make friends, even late in his life, like the Pony movie crew, they only hanged out for like two times and then they were gone.

Imagine Chris sitting around with some folks, they're talking about things like life, or just dumb stuff, and Chris gets upset because they all aren't talking about him or his stuff for the entire visit. Then Chris gets angry at one of them for "ignoring" him and they just cut him loose.

I think his 18th birthday party was a real clear indication of that, where his "friends" came over to celebrate Chris, and Chris is sitting there feeling like a king, hogging all the attention while the other kids "pay tribute" to him.

"mainstreaming"
I thought "mainstreaming" meant "not in special education"?

Even at "The Birthday Party of Fail", you can see in the photos that Chris was more off on his own.

Also the way "Honor Roll" talks to people really does seem to be at, rather than with. Like a deranged monarch issuing royal decrees.

The thing about Chris's social life from childhood to adolescence. He was mostly kept at home and we have very few moments of him on record interacting with other kids. Aside the stories he's told about kids like Sarah Nicole hammer or hid brief stint as a cub scout. He wasn't really around other peers till high school and while it wasn't either the idyllic animie au or the John Hughes movie he'd hoped it would be/remembers it as. He definitely was more social during this time.

The only downside is most of his interests even back then were still strictly things children were into and not 90s/y2k teenagers. Chris was still reading rl Stine. Playing sonic the hedgehog, watching Pokémon, listening to nsync and Brittney spears, and collecting trading cards at a time when his peers probably would have been into things like the matrix, South park, metal gear solid, twisted metal, limp bizkit, eminem, and other hallmarks of teen culture of the era. If his hs had a club devoted to geek culture they'd be into things like computers, av, star trek, d and d (when that series was still respectable) and anime that wasn't censored beyond all belief for children like ghost in the shell and Akira.

That explains why he was so far behind socially in the past at least now? Well we all know WHY He's ostracized now.

Oh yes that's it, but I also mean that normal parents would have realized their kid was not socializing like he should have and that he needed help. It's like they just kept buying him toys instead of worrying about Chris not having friends aside from Sarah Hammer.

And she wasn't really a friend either: she told him Casper the Friendly Ghost was in some crawlspace, which she then trapped him in.

There was also the time she almost got "Honor Roll" to eat a poisonous plant.
Something about that is such a kid thing.

Both juvenile and endearing.

And also psychotic. I hope Sarah's husband is okay.

Funny you mention this, since it was brought up recently (I think in this thread) that Chris can have a rather good affinity for technology if it suits his interests. More specifically, part of the End Games debacle was Chris wanting to be let back in to play the TRPG, with him eventually finding another group to do it with before his arrest (and I'm guessing he no longer has contact with that group for obvious reasons)

I doubt he had any interest in stuff not aimed only at little kids then. Pocketmons and Sonic got more popular with adults in the 21st century as kids liking it grew older.

Another thing of interest to teens ~2000 -- or at least the nerdy ones -- was StarCraft.

Maybe she was just that way to "Chris Chan" because of how egotistical he is.

I wish the DnD arc had lasted longer. It would have been fun to see the kinds of horror stories that spilled out from his group having to deal with Chris' insane, broken, bullshit character.

He's not a tech geek, or a sideshow geek. He's nothing but a pencil-neck.
Agreed. People with social issues are either nerds, geeks, and dorks. Nerds are knowledgable about pop culture; hence "Angry Video Game Nerd." Geeks are knowledgeable about practical matters or subjects of serious scholarship; so you have the "Bible Geek" and the "Geek Squad" fixes your computer. Chris-Chan believes he is a nerd, but he is actually a dork.

I have to wonder how the DM worked with this given the wiki article outlines the character doesn't even have enough information to be properly playable within the rules of the game, ignoring all the homebrew bullshit like the transformation instant wins.
