Containment Random Chris Updates

Did he ever actually stream the election
Yeah but he mostly streamed at the closing polls stage, once they started to count the votes he quickly gave up and played some video game. Probably his worst stream yet, with the livestreamed news channels' sound too high over his voice, him looking high as fuck and lots of awkward, long moments of silence interrupted by his various "mmmmh", stress sighing and raspberries whenever Trump or his supporters were shown.

His stress sighs are fuckin funny as fuck tho

Looks like chris sold 3 more at commissions at $225

Also the original commission art work before his arrest has new pics of him, looks like one of his mug shots.

Other Harris supporters talk about "racism" and "misogyny", while "Honor Roll" derps crazy talk about Transformers as if they're real. It's easy to forget that he's 42 now.
Yeah like I've seen even reasonable takes for a loss like this

And while it is fine to infer a political meaning from the media consume especially with the context it was made in. Chris really does see this shit like its real and probably thinks Sentinel Prime is as real as Adolf Hitler.

Calling it now, in Toonland, Lisa Simpson won in a landslide against Sentinel or something just like how he had Lisa win in 2020.

That's how shallow Chris is, his entire identity is based on who he relates to most.
It also shows just how fanatically egotistical he is.

Now that Trump is winning again, maybe "Honor Roll" thinks Lisa Simpson could run in 2028? In The Simpsons episode "Bart to the Future", it's implied that Lisa was elected after a Trump term. BTW, "Bart to the Future" aired way back when Trump wasn't even known for The Apprentice yet -- let alone for how he's been perceived since 2016 or so.

Yeah like he related to Dubya's fake yokel act and thought he was as intellectual as Obama

Oh he'd definitely still cling onto the Lisa Simpson fantasy unless something else gets in his autistic brain. Though I wonder how it would be if the Republicans run like Tulsi and the Dems run some guy, what bullshit comparisons would he make then

When was the last time Chris talked about alternate dimensions?

Sorry to "But ackterly", Trump has been talking publicly about running for president since the 80s.
He was also a household name in the 80s thanks to being named New York's most eligible bachelor in various magazines.

people are forever shocked by The Simpsons "predicting things" not realizing a lot of what they made episodes about were things that were around and potentially topical at the time, basically throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks
they only remember the stuff that ended up seeming to come true, not all the equally random jokes that never resulted in anything

speaking of which, what's the most recent simpsons episode that can be attributed to "predicting" something? seems it happens less and less these days, maybe because the new writers aren't that perceptive of the current goings on, or maybe the modern world and news are just more muddled and difficult to keep a finger on

Nothing as uncanny as the “Trump prediction”.

I suspect that you are right that the current writers haven’t had the same capacity for satire that the golden age collection did.

My feeling has been that newer writers grew up with the Simpsons and don’t quite understand that what they are doing is effectively sanctioned fan fiction.

It’s the difference with having a particular understanding but disconnect to a character and using them as a mouthpiece, and being fond of the character and realizing a childhood dream of writing for them.

all of this aside, there's also a huge difference between writing a character from the ground up, and writing a character you already knew and was handed
you're not privy to the original creators minds, you don't feel the subtleties that stem from knowladge that may not be put on screen front and center but is still kept at the back of one's mind as the characters are written, you just copy what you see, it's like the difference between sketching a human head by recognizing and laying out the bone structure, and just tracing an image of one
working from the bottom up, vs working from the top
