Just a minor update, Chris logged into Minecraft for the first time in five months, and on a PC.

The Chris we know would never just "allow" this to happen. He ranted and raved over sonics arms changing color. This guy is not just going to indefinitely ignore people taking pictures of him unless he's provided a certain incentive, most likely just to keep the money coming.

It lends credence to the idea that Caden has full control over his social media and most likely only approves Chris posts beforehand. There was that threat over Jeep Guy's visit to Big Island that was most definitely not written by Chris. Add in Chris's history of giving trusted people his login details makes it a definite possibility.

The "don't care" idea might be it. If he's with a girl, who he thinks is genuinely interested in him, and is always like "wow Chris that's amazing!", then I could see him completely ignoring the rest of the world.

It really makes me wonder what went on during the time between the arrest and the present day.
Classic Era Chris™ would screech and squeal any time that he perceived anyone "mislabeled" him. And he diligently monitored what was being said about him online so that he could leap into action to correct anything that he disagreed with.
He screamed about the Encyclopedia Dramatica website.
He had to be given his own CWCki website sandbox because he couldn't stop vandalizing correcting information on the real site.
He spent hours each day making videos shouting at the camera trying to set the record straight.

Now he must be aware of these forums. He must be aware of the overabundance of commentary videos about him. He must be aware of the mystery that still surrounds him.
How is he able to keep his mouth shut? How can he suppress his urge to chimp out and correct everyone's misconceptions?
What changed?

If it's all Caden's doing, then how is he so effective at wrangling him from halfway across the country when Borb couldn't keep him under control while living in the same house?

Gee, almost like the guy has a history of getting people hooked on substances that kill your brain...

He's very aware of the forums. He's had a couple of accounts on here before decrying all of us for asking the hard questions. Fucking Null was one of the few that actually tried helping him in the past. Chris has commented on Geno's commentary several time. There's a massive list of places Chris knows he's infamous in, and most of them have banned him. He's not known as the most documented person on the internet for a reason.

The fact that Chris isn't as active anymore has to be due to the copious amount of suppressant drugs issued to him after he got out jail. Plus, I'd like to think that his lawyer and whoever was in charge of him told him to stay the fuck out of trouble or else.

Seconding this. Chris has a massive ego. It's one of his hallmark features and enabled a lot of the shenanigans over the years. Chris definitely ego searched himself often, like a lot of lowcows will do. Hence the silence and lack of interaction from Chris is very uncharacteristic.

It's probably many factors mentioned. Chris bragged to Null about abusing his mother and that lead to his stint in jail which he still won't go into detail about. This not great experience for Chris, in his eyes, was due to him blabbing to someone. So now he keeps his mouth shut, lest it get him into trouble again. I expect Caden has also coached Chris regarding this. Having power of attorney over Chris also would give Caden some leverage.

I would also expect some sort of medication prescribed as part of his release deal. Remember how Chris was initially defiant and uninterested in the whole court process? His lawyer had Chris sent to the funny farm, (where they held Chris down and recorded his screams LOL), and then after that Chris calmed down. The doctors there might have actually looked into his medical history and finally prescribed things he actually needs.

While experiences and medication are logical factors. I do feel there is something else missing in all of this. I have no evidence, just hunches. This whole thing feels off. Maybe one day, we'll find out?

I agree with everything you wrote about Chris' history. I'm just stuck on the bit about his lawyer (or Caden or Flutter or whomever) telling him to straighten up and Chris simply complying.

His teachers told him to stay out of trouble, and he never did.
Bob told him to stay out of trouble, and he never did.
Barb told him to stay out of trouble, and he never did.
Mary Lee Walsh told him to stay out of trouble, and he never did.
Megan Schroeder told him to stay out of trouble, and he never did.
Rocky Shoemaker told him to stay out of trouble, and he never did.
The Jerkops at Fashion Square Mall told him to stay out of trouble, and he never did.

It seems too simple that someone who Chris sees rarely (How often did he even meet with his lawyer? Once a week? Once a month? Even less frequently?) could make such a big difference in his behavior when people he saw every day (or, in the case of Borb, lived under the same roof) had failed so spectacularly.

In a way, Chris' trip to the slammer is the first time in his life that he felt any consequences for his actions. Sure, people tried to set him straight in the past, but he was always pretty much able to do whatever he wanted. That would not be the case in jail. Maybe even his broken brain was able to connect those dots and recognize that he's going to get sent back there if he doesn't change is ways.

That and drugs. Dude looks zonked out of his mind all the time, so maybe they really upped the dosage while he was in lockup.

I doubt Chris looks at the jail stay as "consequences", hell he had fun there. Sure he wasn't able to cram McNuggets down his throat, but he still had access to junk food. He couldn't splurge on toys or video games but he just compensated by his imaginary world.

When he first was sent to jail, everybody thought he'd lose his mind like back in the 2000s when he would get arrested, but as the letters came out, it seemed like normal ol' Chris, just somewhere else. Sure he might not wanted to have been there but he still just rode it out. So I don't think the idea of going back to jail or some crusty old Jew telling him to behave is the cause.

Classic Chris was over 15 years ago and he's in his 40s now. He's sometimes responded to things post-arrest, like his campaign against MLP G5. He's tried to bullshit the public on his motherfucking. Post-arrest also isn't the first time Chris has had reduced public Internet activity - post-Bob's death, he was posting semi-privately on Facebook for a while.

I wonder if Chris has had a health scare, like Bob having four heart attacks and coronary disease, and that scare was directly related to Chris flipping the fuck out, thus scaring him. We wouldn't have heard about it since it would go completely against him being a perfect being. Maybe not a heart attack but some other similar condition.

This is an excellent video, explains what the a-log phenomenon is, then goes into a decent capsule history of a few major a-logs, including Legatto himself and then a good kiwi-style summary of how NOT to be an a-log and potential lolcow.
