That's what is sadly happening nowadays in a bunch of countries, including many outright fascist political parties gaining traction.
That being said, Chris is not really going to do that, as him being trans, him benefitting from the tugboat and his views on traditional art are all very left. The classic Chris repressed a lot of true feelings about himself and that's what the trolls exploited, it's not really a good representation of his core morals.

I doubt it. Chris has a very feeble grasp on politics in general. The times he would get political, he would only parrot stuff from LGBT people he was following, or else identify solely with a candidate because they're a female. He believes really strange things as well, such as thinking Trump was going to steal all the money from the treasury to pay his debts off, imagining the treasury was an actual building filled with gold and money.
If there's anything related to Trump, Chris will stay far away from it.

Also, just a small thing about the livestream, since nobody seems to have actually given much care to it following the Waltah video.
First of all, the Waltah call did not seem to trigger the Deep Guided Response, since Chris did say this at the end of the livestream.
Update: It def did. Chris seems to have referred to this video of his, which he has just uploaded.
That being said, he was clearly at least distraught by the call and the people on the chat, as he did say the first F word in a while.
In addition, I found this interaction to be funny, considering the Flutter shit from the Waltah call.
The livestream, however, was not prerecorded. Chris has answered several questions asked by people on the main chat. The fact a ton of details do not match between the two streams, plus the fact that Chris had his implants done, sufficiently disprove that theory.

Maybe Chris needs to go a therapist that isn't state-mandated or one that specializes in autism.
If he's getting someone who is purely doing their job and takes no real interest in helping people like him, someone who wouldn't just sit there for 2 hours and listen to him mindlessly talk about the Merge (you know someone you might actually have to pay to get actual help but they would actually try to help you) then maybe therapy could benefit him.

He knows it's all pretend and uses it as a coping mechanism. What would help him would be some sort of coping class, but as we saw with Gateway, Chris is too old and stubborn to abide by any rules and most likely thinks he knows everything already.
Then again with a lobotomy, he could happily sit in a room, staring at the window, sipping apple sauce and putting stickers on things. It wouldn't be much different than he is now, he'd just be happier.

Fully agree, not only is Chris set in his ways (part of it is tism to be fair) but he's got no reason to change.
He gets to pretend all day play with toys make little money and has a roof over his head.
Sure he wants more barbussy but life's "plenty good" for him so why mix it up?

And it had a video.
Seeing a half naked 11 yo Caden Peck take a dip in icy water while his mother records is not what I expected to see today, but here we are.
The description: "It was 41 degrees and Caden met the Landon Plunge Challenge. He was challenged by Vincent and Allie. He challenges Blake from B&J Skate Rink, Chris Nothstine, and Allie Wolf."
At first I thought it was in Virginia, but nope, B&J Skate Rink is located in Missouri. Most likely, it's Mozingo Lake, located in Nodaway County, same place Caden went to college. Searches on other people also seem to confirm that. So he lived in Missouri back then...interesting. When did he move to Virginia then?
Also, two different people named Allie...I will investigate that.
Update: I found Allie Wolf, or at least a very close match. She even graduated from the same college as Caden, albeit she did so five years ago, before he even applied to it.
