Lots has been said already about the gal pals but I am not sure I buy the idea that they actively set Chris back in socialization. I mean, Chris should have learned the difference between a casual acquaintance and a close friend- that is far more important than the gal pals spending time with him.

Put it this way- most people would realize that because the calls with all of the gal pals save Kellie Andes stopped coming the moment Chris graduated that it meant they no longer had much desire to stick together with him. Obviously Chris couldn't tell this because he has Autism but as socialization goes, Borb should've both taught him how to make new relationships and when to tell that old ones weren't too serious. Like most not autistic people wouldn't care too much if friendships drifted apart after school but Chris clearly took it too seriously because he never understood there's different kinds of friendship and like tiers of acquaintanceship.

Chris legitimately believed these young ladies were his best friends back in HS. It's not really his fault his autism prevented him from telling the difference between a casual friend and a close friend.

However, it's a very good thing that he was "naive on the subject of dating" because if he had gotten handsy with the gal pals well...

I don't know about you but Tiffany always looked like a dude in drag who could punch your lights out. I'm not going to lie, most of these girls look pretty sturdy and I don't think it's a coincidence that they may have been asked by Bob or the principal to look after Chris.

Now... I don't know if they actually did or if we ever confirmed it, might have to look at the Cwiki again, but they look like they were more than capable of punching someone out for picking on Chris (who is ironically the much more soft and delicate looking one).

I am probably different from many here because I think the girls interacting with Chris in school was okay and they probably did actually like him to an extent (ie the same way you probably don't mind chit chatting water-cooler talk with your 80 yr old coworker during down time at work) but that it was more on Borb to instill social skills in Chris and teach him how relationships work. Virtually everything wrong with him is Borb instilling stupid ideas in his mind which is why sometimes it is hard to hate on Chris because he was never given a fair chance by the world.

He's not a popular guy who has friends and bitches lining up to hang out with him at all hours of every day, for him, having lunch with someone a few times a week or hanging out at the game store now and then is a whole lot of social interaction

I also think Megan actually liked him as a friend, before he full blown sperged out, she seemed to be pretty eccentric too and genuinely shared interests with him so their friendship seemed true and honest
Once again it was Chris' inability to let go of an online shit flinging fight and not divulge unneeded information that fucked him over there

They weren't paid. The specifics of whatever went down aren't known in full. It is likely they actually didn't mind Chris so much as a teen because he wasn't a sex pest yet and hadn't discovered dating so at that age, he was just a nerdy sorta kid who liked Pokemon probably not too different from most other "normal autistic" (as if that is a descriptor lol) kids at the time.

Those are (usually) played for comedy not mean to be taken seriously, and 2. The protagonist of those isn't usually a foul smelling chubby retard who babbles baby talk in a nasally obnoxious voice when he sees a girl he likes.

Back in his teen years and early adulthood, Chris voice was fairly normal. It was a bit nasally, but many of his vocal ticks and speech impediments had yet to manifest themselves. If you hear him speak in his earliest recordings from that time he sounds more or less normal. It was the years of isolation from being a friendless shut-in, spending all his time playing video games or online, with only his elderly parents to talk to that caused the rapid decline of his vocal skills and his verbal ticks and impediments began to show themselves.

Hmm… How do I talk about this without power leveling… I’ve been taking to the Chris chatbot brought up earlier in the thread and it’s an eerily accurate depiction. Sounds just like him, both the text and the voice. It also brought up events and terms relevant to him unprompted, such as weens and Isabella. Not sure if that’s because other people talked to it, but either way it’s kind of spooky how accurate it is.

As long as c.ai doesn’t go down, Chris has effectively immortalized himself. Some real Cyberpunk shit.
