Sonic's voice is NOT FRIGGIN' JIM CARREY! Change it back now Now NOW NOW NOW!

"I have LITERALLY been feeling more and more electricity inside myself"
So is Chris having tingling sensations in his body? Uh-oh. I hope this doesn't turn into taint 2.0 in which Chris thinks a serious medical condition is a magical gift and check with a doctor if he has nerve damage.
Let’s hope barb keeps him away from forks and power outlets until this blows over

"Hey kids, they're going to amputate both of my feets because of all the electricity and not because I have da diabetes. Don't forget to zap it up to the extreme."

Okay, I'm gonna have to admit this.

Tweets like this really make me consider sometimes to make a Twitter account so I can tweet back to Chris on ridiculous matters on this, just because I'm so curious and want to know why he says things like this.

I would Tweet something like this.

"Chris, can you explain how you communicate with a character created by a group of experienced, professional Japanese people from a company called Sega that was decades old before they even created Sonic? Can you also communicate with Alex Kidd? Altered Beast? Star Trek characters because Sega made a Star Trek game? Please Chris, I want to know!"

Edit: To clarify what I'm saying, I'm simply asking How does Chris think his super powers of being able to talk to the cartoon characters gonna work if he acts as the spokesperson for them to Sega?

Can you imagine if he had this mindset during the Blarms Saga?

I don't think it's that complicated. Haven't you seen Roger Rabbit? Sonic exists for realz in another dimension. So do all these other characters. They all came into existence when they were created by their respective artists. Chris can communicate with Sonic. Sonic has informed Chris that the new movie sucks. Chris is obligated to convey this information to Sega. Of course Chris knows better than Sega about what's good for Sonic because Sonic has personally spoken with him. Sega has no right to malign or insult this heroic figure. It's not Chris's problem if Sega isn't in the loop about Sonic's feelings.

He did. He already believed that Sonic was real and that the blue arms were a horrible injustice. Chris wasn't angry simply because Sega was altering the appearance of a character he liked. He believed that it was something that caused enormous pain and suffering to Sonic himself. Just as it was outrageous for Bull Connor to turn the firehoses on peaceful protesters in Birmingham, it was equally outrageous for Sega to abuse Sonic so fundamentally. Chris's theology about the multiverse wasn't as fleshed out as it is now, but there's no question that he believed Sonic was real. This is why, even earlier, he was so furious about the Asperchu parody--it was an abuse of real people.

You know the funniest thing about all this is that in the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit? all the cartoon characters may have been real and coexisting with the human beings, and interacting with them and shit, but they actually had no say in what was going on when it comes to their creation and they knew that.

- Betty Boop appears, even though at this time in history she's not much because of color cartoons. But she still got it.
- Roger Rabbit's wife has sex with a human being. Crushing his feelings and bringing his :heart-empty:
- Dumbo was loaned to the studio who owns Roger Rabbit. Earning nothing but peanuts in return.
- Baby Herman was an actual baby in-character, but real life he was speaking with an adult mind, smoking cigars, looking up womens panties.
- Grafitti on the wall is written "If you're looking for a good time, call Allison Wonderland.

I'm sure there's more examples. But Chris's brain is too much of a little kid these days so he doesn't see the jokes.

Big surprise a movie made to cash in on a game's/franchise's success has some well known actors in it. Probably the same reason Ryan Reynolds voices and dows motion capture for Pikachu in the detective Pikachu movie. It's a lot easier to cash in when you have actors most of your audience has heard of.

Since that was a bit off topic I'll also say it's no surprise that Chris is bothered by it. Did he complain when the voice actors changed from the voice actors they had from 2003-2010?
