Chris likely thinks it's just another word for "trolls" or "haters". His ass-kissers have likely called those who speak negatively about him and the merge bullshit as "a bunch of NEETs living in their moms' basements" and Chris never botherer to ask what it meant (or look it up), because asking the definition of something would show he isn't actually all-knowing. It's not the first time he's used a word in a spectacularly incorrect manner, and it won't be the last.

This was something I once mentioned to a member here. He doesn’t realize irony even a little. He has a very lacking theory of mind. Or potentially a non existent one.
I would say Chris' theory of mind is non-existent. I forget what the disorder is called, but there is a mental illness where people believe that they are the only "real" person and everyone else don't actually exist or aren't really actually real. Like, everyone else will just cease to exist when the "real" person dies. I've often wondered if Chris might be afflicted with such a mental disorder. We all know he believes he's really the hero of his own story.
And an inability to understand irony, always taking things at face value, is a hallmark of people on the Autism Spectrum. Chris isn't unique in that regard.
Critical thinking is an afterthought for him
Afterthought hell, Chris is just straight up incapable of thinking critically. Rational thought is beyond him as well. It just never factors in for him, like a small child. If he were capable of such higher brain functions he would never likely have been duped by such laughably, ridiculously obvious ploys as his Imagination Land being threatened by moon lasers and he wouldn't have forked over six large to a bunch of internet mongs because of it. He wouldn't have SEVERAL embarrassing nude photos AND "sex" tapes on the web that have been seen by countless people because of catfishing scams. He wouldn't have been arrested/confronted by police several times because he was trespassing or have run into a man with his vehicle because he was trying to escape getting in trouble. He wouldn't have numerous forums/sub-forums discussing him and an entire wiki with more information about him on it than many important historical figures. Or at least, things wouldn't have gotten as bad for Chris as they have.
