High DEX Chris can compensate for low CHA by ambushing and tying up women before they can react.

Unfortunately for Chris, all of his stats are low. I'd argue his WIS is even lower than his CHA.

In 5e, finesse weapons get a DEX modifier bonus to attack, rather than STR. Darts, daggers (thrown or melee), rapiers, etc. are finesse weapons, and can be poisoned, including poisons that cause unconsciousness or paralysis, assuming the target fails their (CON modifier) saving throw against poison.

If we're going back to 2e (which I assume you're talking about), then missiles like darts or daggers (when thrown), bows, etc. similarly get a DEX bonus, as you noted.

Coupled with the initiative bonus, girls with low CON would be easy pickings, and then Chris can freely bind them when they are paralyzed/unconscious.

The original AD&D was a work of love. It was an artistic creation. It was constantly being tested and refined by people who made it to play it. Then Lorraine Williams took over (thanks to those Blume fucks) and ever since then D&D has been nothing but yet another intellectual property for various corporations to exploit. 3.5e was sort of an attempt to give players some control again over their games and modules, but not really, as 4e proved. It was more a barely concealed, extremely cynical attempt to sell ever increasing numbers of splatbooks to minmaxing munchkins. It's still all corporate product. The difference between the original game and everything after is like the difference between A New Hope (the one where Han shoots first) and the current bullshit Disney Star Wars Experience™.
