I like how the factual statement that politics are very much a part of punk is then immediately undermined by using fucking Green Day as an example.

They could have used Bad Religion. Dead Kennedys. Another other punk band that had important politic and social messages. They lost me at Green Day. Green Day is a ROCK band with political messages, but they're not punk. Also I can't take that band seriously with their messages when they fucking got big off of making an album called DOOKIE.

Candyman was white (and more interestingly designed, idk why they went with that hobo look) in the story the movie was adapted from, tho.

Really? Given how much of the movie centered around race and Candyman's origin as a slave in love with a white woman, I have to say that's surprising, especially because those were aspects of the film that I found really interesting.

Also, I mostly am bothered by his design, not race (it only came up due to me noting that the character still started as white...or, well, wax-colored guy), should've worded that diffirently.
