Well, most of those fall in line with the crowd. If he wrote a list like something like he was a conservative Christian who loved his family, God, and America, and was dead serious about that, he'd be driven out on a rail, even if he raised valid and intelligent points. If he claimed to be a feminist and some sort of made-up sexuality to avoid the whole "cishet" label, well, that would probably black out every square in the bingo board.

Social Justice is perhaps less than 5% of the entire website. It's also more than 90% of the drama at the moment, so people looking at RW from afar might notice that more.

As an RW editor, I'm not neutral, but I still think that he skeptic and debunking content is pretty good. There are also many editors which don't like any of the Social Justice stuff, but have to "put up with it", as RW's anarchy rule makes it difficult to draw any real lines in the sand and say "this is enough"; basically, it allows insufferable assholes to vote with equal power as reasonable people. I used to think the anarchy "mob rule" was a good idea, but now, I'm not so sure. Look at how much trouble people are having in imposing some sort of sanctions against Ryulong in the ongoing coop case today... It's disappointing, to say the least.

I think that's a bit strong. By my counting, maybe 5 or 6 of these people. The problem is, like on Wikipedia, that the most active people usually get their way. "This is why we can't have nice things".

Mob rule works well when you don't have people like Ryulong, Hipocrite, Typhoon, etc... Typhoon said in the bar a few days ago that "Nothing anyone says can change my mind". Wow, this is pretty much the definition of a crank.

If RW would have a "safety hatch" to remove those people the problem wouldn't exist, or at least be manageable. Unfortunately, building such a safety hatch would be opposed by the people removed by it, so it's a bit of a dead-lock.

We'll see how the coop case pans out, but I fear it may not go well (meaning Ryulong is let off with a slap on the wrist, yet again).

I wonder how long it will be until the more rational editors come to the conclusion that RW will never be rid of Ryulong and decide to fuck off to greener pastures. Now that Ryulong has successfully recruited his posse to help him at RW you can ban Ryulong all you want but you'll still have to deal with his meatpuppets. Wikipedia banned Ryulong, after all, but thanks to his posse he still holds firm to the articles that he owns despite his banning.
