Counterpoint: In most screenshots you have the subreddit and the title and the username of the OP, so it's not hard to look up if you care to. And more work means fewer quick and easy submissions of screencaps to this thread. I'd be okay with just pasting a reddit link with my screencaps, but then people are gonna whine that I also didn't archive it somewhere (it's already happened and it saps my enthusiasm for quickly sharing shit at all.)

What's astounding to me is the sheer lack of nuance on display in this thread. Alcohol isn't good for you, therefore celebrating your child's birthday by giving them alcohol means you're poisoning them and will ruin their life, even when they're an adult in their twenties. I think they genuinely think it's better for you. At the end of the day it's a vice. Someone addicted to alcohol probably is less physically healthy than someone addicted to weed, but functioning alcoholics are a thing, meanwhile the stereotype of a weed addict is pretty non-functional. Regardless, as long as you keep a vice in check, it shouldn't destroy your life.
