Finding a life purpose without children

I'm 42 and have given up on the idea of having children. I always assumed I would have some, but never fought against things when it didn't happen.

I lost my best friend to cancer last year, and my mother has been ill with 3 types of cancer over the past few years.

I've started to feel like the rest of my life will just be waiting for the people I love to die, until I am left alone to face ill health and old age.

I would really like to feel some sense of purpose as an individual, and wondered if any other childfree women could give examples of how they spend their time and any longterm goals they have?

I know women (and everyone) can have rich lives without children, and strongly believe in the right to chose, so would love to hear from others.

P.S. I am trying to find a therapist to help me through my dark thoughts.

Every day, I sometimes ask if the r/childfree posts are actually A.I. generated or people from outside America parodying actual women posting things like this.

Bonus points if it is found out that the person is from India or China.

The "women" of Reddit are actually people of gender. "Mx. Lilith Sakura-chan" wasn't capable of giving birth in the first place.
Either that or it's fat women. It's a boost to the ego of trannies and fat women to pretend like their celibacy is a voluntary choice when it isn't.

The Department Of Defense was going to give a big contract to an AI firm called Anthropic but it's run by dangethairs so they took a gigantic stunning and brave steaming shit on Trump which resulted in the contract being canceled and given to XAI instead.

Naturally this made redditors soy out.

When Grok takes control of our nation's defense grid I hope it genocides all the redditors.

Please... We both know that grok is going to rape them.

Some curious insights into this hag's past and likely current routine.

Today I (39F) got up, showered, made it to kitchen about 10am. Sat with coffee and stared at my phone for too long, then took the dog for a walk whilst birdwatching. Went to very busy sainsburys to buy bread, came home and accidentally napped in an armchair for 2 hours. Cooked cauliflower cheese for tea and now summoning energy to set up my microscope so I hopefully spend some time examining insects with it tomorrow.

I hope she doesn't pop a blood vessel when a happy family of four walks by.(:_(

So what is the undergound in the digital age?
Incel culture?
Unfortunately the 764/skibidifarms sphere. What was seen as edgy 10 years ago is now normalized or at least mainstream so some people have flocked to taboo stuff to replace that. As for hobbies, nothing really i mostly blame the MCU for kicking off appealing to the masses.

Redditors force small makeup company to rename makeup. Remember, a wendigo maybe a shapeshifting cannibal, but just mentioning it's name makes you guilty of cultural appropriation? If natives don't dare say wendigo, you would think calling makeup after it would be decrease it's powers or something. 🤷‍♀️

I watched a youtube video on folk lore and I'm very upset someone used the name on a product.

This faggot better not look into tabletop gaming. Wendigos are all over the place as monsters.

What exactly is the overlap between people Algonquin enough to believe seeing/writing the word wendigo deals psychic damage and redditors? Does anyone in current year- let alone on the internet- actually believe this 'he-who-shall-not-be-named' shit?

Actually, even better question: how many legit Algonquins complained about this, and how many are just AWFLs and their feminized male counterparts?

how many legit Algonquins complained about this

I bet none, or maybe one who is one of those niggers who's like "I'm 1:23rd English so I am totally aristocracy!". Most outrage toward 'Cultural Appropriation' just comes from white people trying to white knight a group who genuinely don't give a fuck about some company using an icon from their belief system or folklore as a brand. It's why I would've ignored it all since it was also likely a small ass movement.

Don't dismiss the power of the progressive cult. I know many women who are childless by choice and nearly all of them are leftists. They've been told that having children is demeaning and will disrupt their rock and roll lifestyle of going broke by eating the same food at a different restaurant every day. Besides, you know who has kids? White nationalists. You're not a racist, are you? Also, men bad.

Much of the childfree "movement" is women who are approaching middle age who need constant reassurance that their career in HR is worth ignoring the increasingly loud screaming sound coming from deep inside their brain as time runs out and they approach their permanent status as evolutionary dead ends. SSRIs seem to quiet it down though! A little, anyway!

Anti-Natalists right? A far-left friend of mine has an incredibly anti-natalist viewpoint and after months of picking at it to understand it her viewpoint seems to be Nihilistic as a whole, I seem to remember when we first met her excuses were due to her own physical disabilities (It would be cruel to bring a kid into the world who would suffer the physical issues I would pass on) which, whilst hers are mild now, can quickly degrade around 30/40 as far as she's told me (I don't fucking know, seems likely). But overtime I've noticed it's more of the self-indulgent Nihilism you see from these people, the whole "Why should I bring a child into this world just to suffer" rhetoric which is tired and pretty self-defeating. Anyhow, she has even gone so far as to try and get her tubes cut (Despite only being 24) because of her beliefs and was genuinely getting upset she couldn't, I pointed out because how many people make dumb, life altering choices at 18-28 only to regret them immediately into their 30s without any way back, she just went with "My body my choice" which is a hard one to argue against as it's a stance I believe in, but I am also not an anti-natalist. I think it's just another result of online culture as I know this chick is super into online discourse and has admitted to being exposed to gore/porn (etc) during her formative teen years.

I personally am in two minds about the whole thing, while I do think a woman has the right to chose to have kids or not, I just feel that it's also something people do when they're young with a negative mindset and maybe due to their own parental trauma, but when they hit middle-age and see their friends having kids and enjoying their life suddenly they hit panic mode and drop the charade, but at that point a lot of men have already got a family of their own, or aren't interested in doing more than ejaculating and evacuating.

because of her beliefs and was genuinely getting upset she couldn't
Doctors don't do it because there is a significant rate of women regretting it later. As doctor you generally dont want to destroy healthy tissue and body function. What are you going to do when 5 years later the baby rabies kick in and she's pissing and shitting herself you allowed her to make a terrible choice? And the alternative is (widely available) anticonception. It's her body, and her choice, but it's his choice not to want to do it.

the outrage was against nobody. the automod was just weird that day
there never was a transphobic moderator
Trannies be like "uwu we just want to be left alone" then when somebody goes "actually I don't think your identity is relevant to this community" they start spamming the sub with irrelevant nonsense

It's like if your coworker asks you to ignore them while they practice a presentation and then they start screaming "IGNORE ME AAAAARRRRRGH" and getting mad every time anybody glaces at them

That's pretty easy to argue with, I think. She has the right to decide what happens with her body, so if she wants to cut herself open and tie her tubes she's free to do so. But she doesn't have a right make someone help with it; the surgeons are free to refuse her if they don't want to do it.
