Not only that but I remember the replies to Norah's tweets that I posted and a lot of them have to be teens or young people because they were actually defending the idea of therapists playing along with their patients when they pretend a cartoon character is real. They actually claim that experts agree to it because its a "Coping Mechanism". I've never once herd of any therapist who claims this, but have we really fallen far to where we need validation from fictional characters?A lot of therapists really are just professional enablers. Some cynically and willingly, others simply naïve, not realizing their patients aren't always honest narrators, so they take their word at face value. Also, many working "therapists" (a generic term) have almost no education or training in the field and do much more harm than good.
