Those of us who are marginally old enough to remember the Cold War and actual Communism(not current Communism-light in some countries) are somewhat horrified about these morons having any say in government. They think it's going to be like China. It's not, it's going to be like North Korea, or 1970s USSR.

We're closer to China than any of the other Communist countries. China has a universal janny-state, with e-jannies literally being rewarded with cash prizes to rat on their friends for bad social media posts. It's already partially here but enforced unofficially by (((Mastercard))). People like Null can't use many parts of the financial system because someone at Mastercard hates them.

Before I quit using Reddit, I found a interesting subreddit that uses a bot to detect what mods delete from the front page.
Back when I found the sub 2 years ago, 50/50 deletions were pretty infrequent, occurring only 2-3 times per month but now 50/50 deletions makes up 67% of the deletions currently in July and likely 80% of deletions in June. And despite that, not a single post goes below 48 deleted.

There’s a high volume of posts that have a flair saying it was removed for breaking a rule. Perhaps the problem is that moderation for those higher-volume subs where r/all is commonly hit is actually too lax, and they allow garbage posts to pile up because there’s just too much content to screen. I wish I could give a decent response to this, but Reddits ambiguous and often arbitrary enforcement of rules across subs is making this difficult.
Just from screening a handful of yesterdays submissions, some were removed by the users and others may have been reposts, but then there are posts like this, where the content is harmless, it doesn't appear to have been a repost (aww has no rules against it) and its ideal front page content if you're a advertiser. There is no reason for it to have been removed. That aside, it also doesn't explain why 48-50/50 removals are so common, because surely 95% of what reaches front page isn't all rulebreaking either.
I don't know if this is still a thing, but the only explanation I can offer is that a powermod karmawhore deleted it with intent to repost it later to reap Karma.

I'd disagree at least in the case of the Soviet Union. Creators like Shostakovich, Pasternak, Deyneka were lionized. Of course, these all were part of the apparatus themselves to a greater or lesser extent, but Stalin personally intervened to save Pasternak when he got in political trouble.
Of course the famous artists who didn't get sent to the gulag or into exile (or just shot) were seen as contributing to culture, something Russia and the USSR itself always had a sensitivity about as a point of pride, that they were part of the civilized world. They wouldn't put up with degenerate SJW art that is the equivalent of taking a shit on the floor for a second. They shared that preference with Hitler.

I fell horrible for all the people who support communism because they live in a communist country and were brainwashed into believing it's the best possible reality to live in. But i have absolutely no sympathy for the "true believers": rich Western college kids who volountarily choose to brainwash themselves with communist propaganda on the internet, and who spend their time spitting in the plate they eat from, bootlicking mass murderers whose regimes would have likely made it impossible for these pinheads to freely use the internet like they love doing. Modern Western communists have less dignity than a mosquito.
