What makes Norway such a nice place to live, because it is better than America (and the UK, and a few other places in Eurofag land)? You should also wonder why they didnt pick Sweden, that used to be the go to. “No immigrants” is certainly not true, but it is way less than many other countries. Iirc, it’s about 700 000 right now and estimatet to be 1,7 mil in 2060. This is immigrants from poor countries and skilled people coming to work. The amount of people from the same group or country also has an effect, as that makes more from their group wanting to live in Norway.

Norway has shares in a lot of companies world wide. Very important as oil money won’t last forever.

The Norwegian welfare is supported by taxes, but due to it working pretty good most people are proud of this system. There’s other expenses (tv license, it getting more expensive to drive, high taxes on goods, property taxes etc) that has more complaints.

Edit: In 2016, the average tax was actually 38%. That includes public health insurance, work insurance, etc. Norway is low compared to other Scandinavian countries. Denmarks average was 46%.

I also don’t know where they got 80% own homes. From 2015, 62% owns their own home. However, another 14% owns shares of their home (I own 50% of mine, bought with a room mate as we couldn’t afford it alone). Only 23% rented in Norway in 2015. The biggest percentage of home owners were parents with grown children (92%)

Noticed something similar in lolcow subs as well. They all have to tow a line because tranny jannies will ban them over any slight they can. I'm surprised ChrisChanSonichu has stayed up despite a lot of people there calling Chris a man. Might help they have a rule against arguing on that.
