Reddit is just copying the OG NFT. I bet you could actually just do it again with the exact same idea and people would pay. An easy 1 milli, or better yet make it 4 because monitors are HD now.

4k is 3840 × 2160, actually 8,294,400 pixels.

Should help absorb the difference of inflation.

Goes to show anything "made" by reddit is more or less copied and succeeded way before.

My particular brand of autism enjoys Conway's game of life sims so I'm biased, but honestly this place thing is neat, I kinda wish a non-shit site was running it. The factions and collective arts projects is pretty neat to watch. The fucking melodrama over placing squares is even funnier though.

@Null Maybe Marseygate ought to be featured? It has gained significantly more reach than the antiwork tranny janny Fox News interview fiasco

A reddit admin was caught abusing her position to set her tile cooldown to zero (note: cooldown is 5 minutes and 20 minutes for email verified and unverified users respectively) in order to erase an Orange Cat (A) that was previously posted by Reddit on twitter. (A)

This cartoon cat was the creation of Anton Dimitriev, a Ukrainian artist who is currently living in Kharkiv that is besieged by the Russian military as we speak.

His art station: https://www.artstation.com/mine_flood (A)

His deviantart: https://www.deviantart.com/anton-d/gallery (A)

In addition, reddit permanently banned everyone who placed a tile in that area or tried to change her tiles to repair the Orange Cat. Merely placing pixels near the cat resulted in a personal ban, resulting in the bannings of users from /r/AnarchyChess as their subreddit logo bordered the Orange Cat.

People who tried asking about their bans had their posts removed as well

Reddit went a step further and manually deleted the accounts so that whenever you try to visit an account banned for placing a tile - you get this page.

Example of an account manually deleted - they last posted yesterday proving it is a real account. As you can see, this was an active and real account that was not only banned, but deleted (the sub he posted in has now gone private, so this is an archive).

2nd example - proof (A)

Other people caught on, resulting in posts calling it out that reached the front page. Initially the admins tried to do damage control by setting a filter on /r/place to automatically remove any post that mentions the cheating or the Orange Cat that was overwritten. Another reddit admin responded (A) saying admins have been cheating to "keep the canvas safe for everyone," a laughably poor excuse considering they didn't interfere with people drawing penises, the 4Chan logo, or swastikas over the German flag.

breaking news: reddit moderator drinks his 500th bottle of soylent this week, says he's really feeling his "soyest" this week.

Got perma'd by implying the tranny flag would get left alone if it didn't seek to endlessly grow. All other flags are small and have their truce hearts. Alas, trannies do want to put themselves everywhere.

It's a fucking cat? Also Null should make an r/place clone next year. Dibs on making a giant corn 🌽
You know, I bet Kiwifarms could actually make it work  and next years hopefully we wont have this Russia Ukraine Bitchfight
Might not be a bad idea if Null could monetize:
  • Grant x amount of free tiles to existing accounts
  • Charge a hefty premium to new accounts to dissuade cheating and cash in on anyone autistic enough to join for this
  • Small fee for additional tiles beyond the allotment for those that want to get into slap fights or make a bigger swastika
  • Free enjoyment for the rest of us watching the retards go at it

This will be seen as a modern Battle of Stalingrad in the history books. The moment when TRANS RIGHTS became HUMAN RIGHTS. :semperfidelis: to all the brave and stunning reddit jannies who fought in this conflict. They will write tales about what the veterans did during these trying days.

It would be the antireddit- swastikas' and pepes and sneeds and the gunt and Chantal and the Tranch and Chris. I would enjoy this.

I thought the first time reddit did this was at least interesting even if mostly cringey. It was actually spontaneous and there didn't seem to be much botting or admin intervention. Communities had to really rally to get anything done and it was mostly simple art maintained by NEETs and shit.
This iteration is the most blatant, corporate sanitized, bot-maintained shit ever. It's 100% going to be used as a 'look at how hip we are' piece for when they go public. Plus, because your 'contribution' is public you can be a) attacked for stepping in a community's designated shitting street, b) banned by jannies for contributing to anything not fag approved, or c) both. The only good thing that will come of it will be the drama from the inevitable censoring of the final piece right before it ends. Investors are not gonna be interested in collaborative Risk of Rain Huntress Rule 34.
The thing is that it was novel and communities were far more diverse. Sure people scripted but you also got to see an E-peen measuring contest play out in real time. There were some memeworthy feuds and I know I discovered there were huge communities I didn't even know existed because of it. Pretty much everything that made the original good is just inherently infeasible with a rerun.
I mean, a Kiwi Farms graffiti board would give us the perfect opportunity to collaborate on creating Null's "True Final Boss of Transphobia" form.
Proposed name: The CornCob. Users can place different colored kernels.

Reddit jannies, and jannies in general, will never fail to impress me. Just when I think their skin can't get any thinner, they prove me wrong. We just gotta get rid of them all. The day of the broom.

Or just make it .01 BAT = 1 pixel and use it as a way to train users on how crypto works.

r/drama was a community of shitposters that made fun of literally everyone and that included the tranny jannies and their reddit antics, eventually they got banned for this grave sin so dramatards created a separate website were they still use marsey as a mascot so butthurt jannies claim the cat is a neo nazi symbol of pure hatred like they do with everything that they don't control.

Some people drew a Marsey on the place activity were each user adds a single tile at a time and it updates the canvas in real time so a janny abused her power to deface the drawing and banned every user who put a tile in it to help make it from reddit entirely. Tipical no fun allowed tranny powertripping.
It might be worth it to add the bolded context to the featured post, I know I was properly confused by the genesis of the beef with the cute cat drawing. The lunatic antics of the mods in response to the Marsey are pretty funny on their own if somewhat perplexing, but this context makes it 5 times funnier. :story:

Give everyone a long cooldown. Pay a fee for a shorter cooldown.
Pay some larger amount to open new spaces which are protected for a few days.
