To be fair that's a common problem with democracy. A lot of people consider their "job" done once they go to the polls and vote. That they're supposed to be writing to their representative about important issues that are up for consideration, checking to see how their representative is actually voting on those issues, and voting them out next election if their representative isn't doing what they think they should be doing, is something that goes forgotten, outright untaught, or ignored in favor of making sure their "team" wins the election.

They care when it's enough people saying the same thing that it can impact whether or not they get reelected if people put their votes where their mouths are. That's why the Republican party started getting more extreme once the Tea Partiers took some seats from them, and Trump won the nomination. The party apparatchiks didn't want to be sucking Trumps dick, but people said that what he was saying was what they wanted to hear, and the party apparatchiks had to follow(at least in public) what the people proclaimed they wanted.

That was due to electoral upsets, not letter-writing campaigns. And then they cucked their agenda anyway using backroom deals and unelected bureaucracy.

Letter writing is just how people express their opinions ahead of voting. And as I said, most of them aren't doing letter writing they're just voting. The point is that politicians do give a crap about what voters want as keeping them appeased is one of the primary ways they remain in power. However since people are just voting for their party instead of keeping up with politicians, the politicians are left free to do whatever the fuck they want with little fear as long as they keep getting elected.

Some men want to take responsibility for themselves in a way that isn't permanent, and some women can't take hormonal contraception because they get horrible side effects. Similar side effects to what keep getting male versions booted from human trials, I'm not sure the female ones would have made it to market if they were trying to get them approved today (but then MRNA vaccines got approval so maybe so).

The papers I read on the topic stated that the male contraceptives tested have a variety of unexpected side effects like permanently lowered sperm count, hormonal imbalances and in some cases completely debilitating pain. Of course feminists always bring this up as "lol weak men can't handle some cramps".

Yeah, that kind of thing shouldn't be acceptable. A better feminist point would be that the pill increases the risk of blood clots and breast/cervical cancer, which shouldn't have been acceptable either.

I know someone who has been advised by doctors not to take hormonal contraception because of her family history and genetic predisposition to breast cancer.

Yeah female contraceptives have a lot off issues that I rarely see talked about, in fact they're usually treated as some miracle drug that fixes any problem women might have. And the saddest part is that any attempt at regulating them based on those issues would be played up as "the evil male congressmen trying to force women to be pregnant and become housewives" or something like that.

My conspiracy theory is that, aside from the pharma interest, a lot of powerful people are aware of the cognitive effect of hormonal birth control (women make different decisions in partners and behaviors while on it) and want to keep women acting that way. Same thing with SSRIs.

Overall, quite a horrifying, yet average for Reddit, specimen. I hope they are not a real person because I have a hard time wrapping my head around a "15-year-old" being so coom addicted that they are into beastiality of all fucking things. Then again, they're a furry so I guess it's only 2 steps over when the community does a half-assed job of keeping NSFW away from kids. I have a feeling this person will troon out in a couple of years, given that the big thing troons tout is "body dysphoria."
