That kind of intellectual spiel is exactly why incel's were initially turned into some great enemy on reddit and elsewhere. Regardless of their pathetic nature, their accurate analysis of woman burned up all the social justice crazies who hate having a mirror held up to themselves. No one was worried about incel violence or abuse, they were fearful of honesty like that.

To be honest. even those require some skill even if it's only a minute amount. I've worked on a line and seen people fail at it. That said, this post is retarded. Nobody looks at a longshoreman and calls them unskilled laborers, except maybe Redditors when these people get fired for not being vaxxed or saying the gamer word.

Anyone who's worked a cash register or mediocre coffee machine can confirm that anyone semi literate and not completely retarded can do a passable job within a few hours. If you could be replaced tomorrow by someone starting from scratch and the workflow would be almost uninterrupted, it's unskilled labour.

The fact that unskilled labour exists doesn't mean some people aren't just unemployable.

Especially with welders theres almost infinite paths to advance as standards keep getting more and more complex:

Got the smarts? Weld technican.
Got Fingerspitzengelfuhl? Pipe welder.
Want to be part of the future of fabrication? Robotic Weld technician.
Feel like bossing people around? Welding manager.
Feeling adventours? Underwater welder.
And on and on it goes. But all of these are skills or qulifcation that takes a couple of years in school or many many hours of rigirous practice. I know that a lot of the bigger companies that are willing to plonk down 15-20k on your education if your good at your job. Cause you might quite your factory fabrication gig one day and just go to town on worksite construction or industry maintance.

That really is a child's interpretation of what "unskilled labor" means.

An "unskilled" job does not require a specialized or previously learned skill to do, such as basically any fast food gig for teenagers, or folding boxes in a factory or whatever.

That person (and the redditor) are confusing "unskilled job" with "blue collar job," the latter of which encompasses a much larger array of jobs, many of them very high-paying...because they require a lot of skill!

Sometimes it's hard to tell if the people making these arguments are intentionally deceptive or just plain fucking stupid
