I meant to post this a couple of days ago but my internet got fucked for a bit so I apologize if this is old content. So while doom scrolling reddit like the degenerate I am, this post almost hurdled past my woeful eyes. Now I'll admit I really don't give much of a shit about the actual story in question but I did have an interesting time scrolling through the comments. Its real bizarre to see such vitriol spilled at what I would consider a diverse community here on the farms. Sure the farms is crasser due mainly to it allowing the general use of slurs and controversial discussion but neither of those concepts should be enough to condemn a whole online community. I imagine these big brained reddit users would have a similar kind of shock if a whole group shut down all of reddit based on the misconception that r/jailbait and r/beatingwomen were full representations of the site.

Anywho here's some of the comments that stuck out to me in no particular order. Also I debated on whether or not I should censor usernames due to all the false doxing allegations but reddit is fully public site allowing anyone without any account to view all comments and post histories of users so it shouldn't really matter. If this could ever be considered doxing than god might as well smite me out of this clown world. And thats not even mentioning the hypocrisy about doxing in these comments.

This shit must be the reddit equivalent of NFTs. Also it's amazing how many people are Karma farming after Elizabeth's death. Not saying you should feel a certain why but so many of these retards are doing "Fuck the queen" shit and pretending to be experts on the UK saying shit like it's 100% likely the monarchy will end and shit.

I hate when the free speech argument gets reduced to "it's a private company/private people/me and my faggot friends, not the government censoring you!" As if only government censorship is abhorrent. It's all of it, and while yes the Constitution grants the right to free speech, they ultimately do so so current-year journos and redditors don't have enough basis to go on this retarded campaign.

Anyhow, these people would vote in a heartbeat to remove the First Amendment. Just as they would go and sell their own families just because grandma once said something mildly racist. They have no values, no principles, other than what the hivemind says it's okay to do for the current year.

I remember reading some guy on there talking shit about incels and when someone brought up the fact that he was a NEET, middle aged virgin himself he said something like "I might be a 40 year old virgin but at least I'm not an incel" like he's any better than the group he's talking shit about. The "progressive" gamers (people who whine and bitch about videogames being racist and sexist all day long on sites like ResetERA and rarely, if ever actually play a game) always claim that when games are censored that it's "not actually censorship because it's a company's decision". No, it is still censorship. Just because it's a private company and not the government censoring it doesn't mean it's still not censorship. They love trying to redefine the definitions of words.
