I know now why the term “gateway drug” is so famous. It’s because of bold statements like these that you would never say publicly to other people in person.

I honestly find this really forced and off putting. the whole "these charaters only exist for me to gain sexual and para-romanic gratification from" is cringe as fuck. other than this and some bad voice acting the game is a 10/10

I think they're mistaking a fond cultural satire with "capitalism horrible". It's not really any surprise that being able to make fun of yourself is foreign to redditors.

There never seemed to be any overriding message to the fallout games besides that war sucks.
I guess the series also sends the message that gamma radiation isn't very good so you should try not to expose yourself to it, that's one we can all get behind.

I always viewed the message to be literally their repetitive slogan, "war never changes". We never really learn lessons from the past and history is doomed to repeat itself and time is a flat circle because of human nature.
