All the "this is the future they promised us" posts really are just from people mad that popular aesthetics have changed since when they were young(er). Cliche but true! If they created anything of their own that wouldn't be much of a problem, of course.

I can't speak for a subreddit but the existence of something like that doesn't surprise me at all. My department at work is primarily young white women from the suburbs and they talk about any awkward interaction with a male as the breadcrumbs of some plot to sex traffic them.

Apparently, the corporations who were pushing the "Frutiger Aero" shit in the late 2000's to early 2010's. I say apparently because I guess the early Zoomers confused the corpo push for the Aero design as genuine sincerity rather than as a marketing tool to attract people (I.E, future customers). The later Zoomers are attracted to it since it's one of the last (If not, the last) designs with a grasp on the world to have any ounce of depth and "soul", since they grew up when the devoid of life flat designs permeated everywhere at every place like the cancer that it (Mostly) is.
