South Park Reddit got put on lockdown because the mods didn't like someone making an a.i video of an episode where Cartman pretends to be from Somalia to scam free money.

Funny because that scam is entirely in character for Cartman and something he absolutely would have done fifteen years ago before the show because entirely soy crying about Trump.
 
Apologies if this has been posted before, have only just seen it. Long article, bit hit and miss, but some cracking lines in there, such as:

True for the internet. In the end reddit had a worse influence on general internet discourse than any other social media site. Not even Twitter or YT had such a detrimental influence. Tumblr was pretty much what present-day reddit is but tumblr is dead and irrelevant now. Can't speak for Twitch, watching streamers is for gayfaggots and/or zoomers, can't say anything about that platform's influence. Don't need to mention Discord because it goes hand in hand with plebbit.

I am sure reddit's influence would still be bad even without redditors insisting on taking their pathetic excuse for board culture off-site. Reddit really did some "The industrial revolution and its consequences"-tier damage to the internet.

Real world politics have never once been mentioned in the show only made up ones for their in universe government. Keep in mind Donald Trump did not create ICE. It's existed since Bush was in office back in 2003. So Trumps "paramilitary SS branch" is literally just a federal organization that existed both under Biden and Obama that they now care about because Orange man bad! Do you remember hearing a single word about ICE during Obamas administration? 8 years I don't remember any outrage or claims of le genocide.
