For the longest time I've had this idea that redditors think the only solution at this point is killing half of the country, and by god they make it convincing.
As much as they say otherwise, they hate the working class (for not being their idealised vanguard of the totally wholesome tranny revolution - instead seeing them as an unenlightened pack of savages, who hold back "progress"), they hate minorities (that don't vote the party line), and they so partisanly hate the republicans at this point that if tomorrow Trump were to somehow bring America into a literal golden age as he promised, they'd still find ways to complain. From an outsider looking in, you'd be convinced their lives are entirely focused around obsessing over Trump, and hating the republicans over self-perceived 'fascism' they've worked themselves up into genuinely believing.
What they want is a socially enlightened liberal utopia, where they can rule as autocrats, not having to think about uncomfortable concepts that sensible people do like 'compromise' or 'reality', instead allowing themselves to be lulled into a hazy dream of modernity, where they can constantly chase [CURRENT THING] without having to think about how it affects anyone but them and theirs, and they know the only way to get to anything like that is to eliminate any and all perceived opposition. Allow me to put it this way - if these people got into power, they wouldn't second guess taking your guns, they wouldn't second guess kicking you out of your home because your land was 'stolen', and they wouldn't second dumping you into a mass grave if they felt like you got in the way.
Realistically the average redditor spends his days fantasising about being a petty tyrant over the 'lesser', and 'uneducated' people, thinking that by enforcing HIS brand of vague socialisty-liberalism he will somehow bring the worthy into their idealised modernist utopia. In many ways they're modern liberal evangelists.
