Within the past month or so the tech related subs I frequent to avoid the politics have been completely overrun with AI doomerism and blackpill or AI taunting posts by self proclaimed morons gloating that they've supposedly made everyone else obsolete.

Either its 'AI's going to take away all of x jobs we're doomed'. Or 'I a single digit IQ mentally retarded person who can't read with no limbs in a medically induced coma just used AI to replace an entire department of ph.D engineers in 2 minutes. lulz' doomer bait posts.

The constant barrage of AI doom and blackpill is exhausting and makes me almost miss the simpler days of just idiots and basic bots spouting politics... Almost. I have to wonder what sort of astroturfing the AI companies are running since it seems to be making the DNC election astroturfing campaigns look like a picnic.

Yeah they are, but their posting pattern is incredibly specific. They say they're NYC-based and like 1-2 years after graduation, unable to find any job better than warehouse work despite having internship experience. And they keep ranting and raving about how the warehouse is going to be the only future they'll know until they're 70 or 80.

Then again, uber obsessive fans like this aren't the picture of mental stability to begin with, but this is definitely an interesting case to itself, I wonder if there's enough milk here for it's own thread because she seems like an interesting specimen in her own right.

Honestly, looking at her reddit profile its pretty barren, she only posts a few times a year and seems to barely comment outside of her own posts. Might be more active on other platforms tho, would have to check.
