I remember her being a hoarder that copied a bunch of tapes of programs back in the day. Back in the day tapes were expensive, so TV stations would just overwrite them. Pretty every country barely has any material from the 50s and 60s left because it's all overwritten. A famous example are the early dr. Who episodes. America has a lot more because she hoarded it all. Her name was Marion Stokes.

An example in the US was the DuPont Network. In the early 50s the DuPont company, yeah that one, tried to get into the early TV network game. After three or four years the network went bankrupt and they dumped all the film reels of the shows they recorded into the Hudson. The only record of the shows they aired are newspaper listings and a handful of publicity photos taken during production.

I've sperged about it numerous times, but vegans have a Christ shaped hole in their heart and try to stuff animals in it as a way to make up for their lack of any true morality. We are called to hold dominion over the earth and the flora and fauna on it, not make it an idol and worship it.
These are the same people who would run into a burning building to save "a sweet doggo" instead of a child because of their warped worldview. Furthermore, enjoy dying of malnutrition and disease caused by deficiencies that we aren't meant to experience, I hope you get into Vegan Heaven with Impossible Burger Jesus or whatever

A lot of it is just boomers (or even preboomers) being nostalgic. TV was new so seeing pretty much anything was huge. The sets and actors were miles better than whatever their local community theater could put up, and the tech itself was like magic. To a modern audience it's slow, boring and simplistic. If you tell me there were some gems in there, I'll believe you, but I dont think there is a big loss beyond its historic significance.

tbh everyone has a religion shaped hole in themselves but they are too fucking retarded to fill it with religion, trying to cram whatever fad or brainrot they happen upon that is palatable into it.

Be it veganism, political activism or a book club, they are extremely lacking. Even worse when it comes to R*dditors because they are the religious zealots of today but they lack the introspection to even realize it

And how much of it is really that significant? Think about how media nowadays is just derivative and realize that it's always been like that. How many different versions of Shakespeare's plays or the Greek Epics adapted to television do you really need or the historical record?
