Get the popcorn, this is gonna be good.
Translation: stop beeing wongthink doo doo heeds icant mod when mummys hom as he maces me clean the dishes pls sotp or ill ban u from webzone when donw with homework
Here's a tip to the mods at r/Games, if you don't want to moderate a subreddit, then why the hell are you a mod and why don't you just quit? This is the one time that just doing a massive ban on anyone with wrongthink would be preferable, certainly better than "I donut want jub pls haaaaaalp".

I'll just crosspost from the r/gamingcirclejerk thread
I see our favorite angst-filled troons brilliant satirists are enjoying the the r/games shutdown

/r/NoSleep has really gone to shit, and I think most of that is because you have to roleplay that it's all real in the comments. That's dosen't allow for any sort of constructive criticism.

I still frequently browse /r/NoSleep, but only sorted by “Top.” I prefer to let other readers sift through the crap and upvote the gems (although I’ve still read some stories I didn’t enjoy that were highly upvoted). Still, I have found a lot of great stories recently.

I do agree that the quality of the sub has gone down though. I feel like multi-part stories that drag on way too long are a big cause. It’s so bad that I’ve developed a prejudice against multi-part stories and tend to ignore them. There are exceptions of course (for example, The Left-Right Game is phenomenal and is in 10 parts), but for the most part they suck.

I also agree that the “play along” rule is really limiting, both from a storytelling and critical perspective. I wish they would just do away with it, it’s really arbitrary.

This whole /r/games thing makes me fucking mad on the internet. That post has 17,000 upvotes currently, which is just infuriating. 17,000 people agree with this ideology, potentially 10,000+ more as it's 65% upvoted. This all echoes that /r/AmITheAsshole thread about some dude not wanting his bisexual gf to wear a "bi pride shirt" when with him because it made him uncomfortable, and he felt it would look weird and pseudo-progressive. A mod commented that they had a bisexual girlfriend and considered OP the asshole, with everyone else doing the same in the comments. It was surreal.

Reddit mods are so far up their own asses, that they think a minority of comments on fucking Kotaku-tier articles about shit no one cares about/inflammatory, obvious troll comments on popular content are indicative of the views of the "gaming community" as a whole.

Even that above snippet I just typed, is so fucking ridiculous. "Gamers" is such a broad term that to insinuate that the gaming community as homophobic, Islamophobic, etc, is fucking insane. There are trans islamic gay people that play video games. The accusation that gaming philosophy at it's core promotes hate is ridiculous when you have such a broad range of opinions and people that identify under that flag.

Please, please look at this Imgur album of examples they provided: https://imgur.com/a/umrdBYF

It's fucking crazy what they'll remove. It's literally just shooting down wrongthought, most of the time, or saying shit the mods just don't want to hear. Literally one of the posts is
People want entertainment that isn't gay and constantly fretting about the emotional needs of blacks and transexuals.

This post was POSITIVE in upvotes when it was removed. It's not fringe thought that people want narratives that aren't centered around Social Justice.

I'm just in disbelief with reddit sometimes, man.

I'm reading through the imgur album and I haven't found anything that's made me laugh from sheer audacity yet. It's all relatively tame and/or stupid.

ETA: JESUS FUCKING CHRIST ALL OF THESE POSTS ARE SEVERELY DOWNVOTED! No one would have seen them if these dumb assholes hadn't posted them in the first place! What is the point of broadcasting this "hateful speech"?

Oh come on the guy threw a tantrum because his GF was wearing a "Homophobia is gay" t shirt and acted like an insecure little bitch.

Edit : or was it all fake like everything on reddit I don't even remember

Was probably fake and gay but either way they were calling him homophobic, transphobic etc and not making it about how he was a little bitch and that no one cares what people wear lmfao

This is the type of shit that GamingCirclejerk should be joking about, "gamers are big doodoo heads " is pretty much one of the prevailing circlejerks in """gaming""" communities nowadays.
But that won’t give them plebbit woke points. Seriously, just look at the rest of their subreddit, it’s atrocious. Honestly shocked that the r/GCJ thread hasn’t gained more traction, it’s basically “Resetera ‘Comedy’ Editon”

Holy fuck, this /r/games thing is the most exceptional thing I've seen a sub do in a very long time. I'm sure they all sat around on a discord server somewhere and patted themselves on the back for this incredibly woke message to the community that serves no other purpose than to just piss off the millions of subscribers who already actively self police, downvote and report trolls.

Imagine getting lectured by some hotpocket over this when you really could give two shits about A) some internet troll comments and B) the fact that some other people on the sub get BTFO when someone doesn't agree with their gender identity politics.

They really couldn't even dig up any good comments that weren't already self policed, OR were so fucking lame that only someone from REEEEEsetera would find offensive. A large portion of these posts the cited as examples are just people discussing shit openly. But because it's a hot button topic, and someone has a view that doesn't fit the woke progressive mold, they're labeling it as some toxic "phobic"

The rest of it is just edgelords.

Let's look at these horrible, toxic, 'phobic comments that they've posted as examples:

This one is my personal favorite though. Nigga speakin gospel here, but it's apparently wrong think.

God damn they grasped at straws to put this shit together. There's millions of posters there and they came up with a small handful of edgelordy teen and troll comments as their need for this.

I can't wait for the sub to be unlocked and the mega thread to happen. It's going to be a glorious shitshow.

The one thing about the status quo is that to maintain, you need to keep people comfortable and in the dark.

What the mods in r/games did was not only just rock the boat that is the status quo (most people did not give a shit about dumb opinions and hot takes) but set that boat on fire and told everyone they can't ride on it for the moment. It's the fastest way to anger fucktons of people in a short time. 15k may agree with their dumb little "prank" but when the sub has over a million users, that's fucking nothing.
Now they brought everything to a screeching halt and shoved the masses into the proverbial shit to see it for what a joke it really is. If they get angry tomorrow, it's completely on them [the mods] for this dumb idea.

I won't be surprised if the mods are gonna use the reactions to go and scream "SEE? WE TOLD YOU WE ARE RIGHT ALL ALONG" and other bullshit even though of course when you lock one of the most visited subreddits on Reddit.

And among the solutions, you choose list of charities to donate to?

So I'm not the only one that thought it was weird that they randomly shilled a bunch of charities?

No way that megathread lasts more than a couple hours. If it does last longer than that, the majority of comments are either going to be [Comment removed by moderator] or only posts praising the mods with further condescending and smug comments from victorious troons who were assblasted over someone misgendering them in a comment once, giving them PTSD.

The aftermath thread is up, and looks to be going more or less exactly as expected. There's also hints of behind the scenes drama between the mods themselves in the questions and answers section of the aftermath post itself:

You know what makes it worse? The fact they quite clearly state that they don't give a fuck about men, despite them having the highest suicide rates:
