reddit General

Reddit straight up ate Kanye alive. Can't have someone siphoning votes from the friendly neighborhood senile child molester. I really wonder if Kanye can get enough votes to make a noticeable dent in the numbers, given how Harambe got thousands of write-in votes by just being the meme of the year
He's famous, well-liked, and most importantly black. If he actually runs he will get a large part of the captive black vote. Blacks do not vote for whites if a black is running.

I don’t even think Kanye can register as an independent candidate anymore (some states are past the deadline and he most likely won’t get the signatures needed in the rest) so by the time the 2020 election rolls around, his ploy be long forgotten. Or people will just be too lazy to write in his name instead of punching a box.

I knew a guy in high school who would interject with subreddit names. Like, when some sweaty nerd spun a yarn about all the bitches he'd fucked, this guy would say "r/thathappened" out loud. He would actually make the sounds, "arr slesh dat heppind". With the meat flaps on his face.

Every time I see a redditor interject like that, I can't help but think of that guy.

I recently had a cousin who gave birth earlier this year (before covid/lockdown) and needed help finding a name for her newborn baby girl. I stumbled across the "Name Nerds" subreddit, as well as other baby/name related forums to look for ideas to give to her. And my first thought was that many of these people are attention seeking weirdos. I guess I shouldn't be shocked given the name of the Subreddit...

They look down on any name that is deemed "very popular" and many will immediately detest or find a name "bland" if it rises in popularity. They even make fun of the many spelling variations of names like "Megan" or "Caitlin". I've seen some of the "odd" names they purposely seek out and I don't see why they're supposedly any "better". Then I found out a few of the users who congregate there, also frequent subreddits related to terf stuff and a few other shallow topics and that's all I needed to know.

I'll bet many of their children will end up being "normal" and "vanilla" like someone named "Dave" or "Emma".

Its amazing to see what Reddit has become, long time former user (permaban about 3 years ago for calling out a mod). This used to be the site that rallied against SOPA, censorship, etc. Around 2016 a lot of sub reddits violently shifted in tone and heavy moderation to the point where simply posting because a liability.
It is long believed that Correct the Record/Share Blue which was a large shilling organization for the democratic party had bought out a large number of subreddit moderation accounts in order to do this. Powermod accounts are very likely worth a lot of money both in bribes or upon sellout, which is why you see people at least on the surface level people using them 24/7. They are not doing it for free like most folks claim, there is a LOT of money involved and at play.

Correct, I've been banned 3 times, all by power tripping mods/admins. The site is now run by some leftist shitheads who literally fellate Marxists. They are also probably morbidly obese. Once a sub gets more than about 100k users, it turns to shit.

I honestly wonder what they think of black people who give their kids stupid-ass Section 8-worthy names like "Travarious," "Ja'quan" and "Dontaevious".

Or assuming they have kids they'll give them autistic, shitty names that get them beat up and they'll just call themselves Dave or Emma to avoid that shit.

FYI, @Sourceress legitimately believes that women needing to be correctively raped is a popular right-wing tenet.
Can women shut up about their rape fantasies for a god damn day?

I often see comment chains repeat themselves across multiple seperate posts; days, months, and even years apart. The conversation will flow in precisely the same way every time.

It gives you this sense that you've heard it all before, which to be fair, tends to happen if you spend enough time discussing things online anyways (you start to see in your mind all the counter arguments you'll receive (and then eventually conclude that it's not even worth posting, because you know what the replies will be)).

But I've found that repetition nearly robotic on Reddit, and it hardly feels as though I'm speaking to a person at all on many of the largest Subreddits, but rather an algorithm of predefined responses.

Almost like a shitty RPG NPC.

I honestly think point systems in general are programing humans. On a mass scale you can control crowds of people to do almost anything, down to rioting using a points system.

I've tried my best to seperate myself from any point based feedback on every interaction I have with the web for this reason.

But people are so hooked into it, it's kind of a nightmare honestly.

How many times have you heard the average person around you utter the same sentiments? "This is the new normal", "systemic racism"... Ect.

All of these sites are using points, and everyone is slowly losing their humanity and individuality.

This is why the unpopular opinion is a popular sub to spread popular opinions.

I used to post now and then a few years ago and it was just so hollow
Don't worry, you'll feel hollow about your posts on this site too.

So you can commit hate speech against majorities now? Israeli Jews are the majority in Israel....

Who am I kidding? (((Anti-whites))) will come up with whatever pilpul suits their agenda. They'll find some way to make Israeli Jews exempt.
I've already said that "majority" doesn't actually mean majority to leftists and woke corporations pandering to leftists. It means whoever far left college professors say are the people in power. That said, far left college professors are very pro-Palestinian, and a lot of people on Reddit are too, so in that case at least, the Israelis may find themselves on the receiving end of some suppression. It all depends on whether Reddit's management is worried more about angering the woke hordes they currently pander to, or any possible monetary connections from Tel Aviv. It's probable they'll just take the coward's way out and pretend to not see any Israeli trash talk of Palestinians and vice versa unless it gets so much attention they're forced to acknowledge and do something about it.

r/femaledatingstrategy might as well become the posterchild for r/leopardsatemyface. A bunch of man-hating women wondering why men hate them.

Yeah wonder why men trust their bros when their hoes are ready to throw them under the boss for their sisterhood. Sounds familiar.. This is literally a grouping of femcels who immediately ban any man willing to throw himself into the leopard enclosure with "Well, maybe-".

I dislike trannies of color going "Lol white cishets", but if they were talking about these kind of people, I'm kind of on board. It's like a bad King of the Hill era skit; men and women wanting each other, but also joking about how horrible it is to be married.

Damn, I had assumed that place got banned. r/GC was at least civil, but the femcels over at r/FDS are just a bunch of unpleasant hags who hate anyone and everyone who's ever been in a successful relationship.

Female incels are, imo, worse than male incels when it comes to impotent rage and vitriol. The fact that they get away with saying sexist and homophobic shit because they're women shows how patronising and coddling the modern 'feminist' movement has become. No behaviour standards at all, it's pathetic.

They deserve their own thread. I've seen a lot of really wack posts there over the years and I wish reddit's search algorithm was better so I could find them again.
