They are already posting all over the site that they don't intend to stop wearing them at any time in the future. They want to use them permanently. I have zero beef with that personal choice...but they are in for one rude awakening when nobody else obeys their demands to mandate them for everyone else forever.

First was this posted onto r/murderedbywords.

Private company = censorship good. If the OP was a BLM rioter, though, suddenly it would be a bad thing. How is this a murder anyway? All it boils down to is "these companies are "private" therefore this is fine"

The second is this posted in r/funny. The fact that someone looked at this and thought "hm, yes, this is definitely something I should post onto the internet" makes me MATI.

How could you possibly draw this and think these are in anyway compariable? Being a working, valuable member of society is in no way similar to being a useless, fat slob who does nothing except drain resources and consoom. Good lord, at least be a stereotypical wine aunt/beer uncle.

Suddenly reminded of the infamous "my alt-right son hates his sister" story where the OP's "son" was stereotypically right-wing and assaulted his sister because he heard her having sex with her black boyfriend. There were plenty of people calling it out as a fake /pol/ larper, but there were also people believing the story fully. Goes to show how gullible Redditors can be.

I tend to believe the opposite of whatever's on the front page to be true or good.

There's also the "government doesn't care enough about you to track you" posts that you see every couple of days. It's astroturfing but do people not believe in China or other governments who are incredibly open about how much they care?

I will clarify, as someone who says similar things, that it's more "the US government doesn't have any human look at your data until you get flagged for saying nuke/Allah/whatever." It's almost always about the US or somewhat similar governments, either because the person is smart enough to know China is different or because they're dumb enough to forget America isn't representative of the world.

That said, we are talking about redditors, so it's entirely possible these people really do mean "the government doesn't care enough to collect your data," which is demonstrably false and absolutely retarded. Funnily enough, I imagine most of them wouldn't disagree with the idea that corporations invasively track your data.
