Why would they not use the billion dollars to sustainably get the homeless back on their feet in an affordable community, indeed. Really activates the almonds.

Possibilities:
  1. A contractor connected to a politician is making huge money off of a project that will have 0.0001% impact
  2. Politicians are using the big-sounding budget numbers to impress retarded hipster voters
  3. Politicians want the homeless to remain in the city so that crime and drug use stays bad and they have a forever problem to campaign on
  4. All of the above

3.5. Some (many?) homeless people don't want to not be homeless, and/or they don't want to put in any effort to improve their lives whatsoever because they're "comfortable" enough (since they typically flock to places where there's lots of handouts), don't want to give up their gibs, or they're batshit insane (so they can never be rehabilitated anyway).

There's a significant subset of homeless people who aren't capable of living independently because they have severe mental health issues, often compounded by addiction. If you try to solve the problem by plopping them in an apartment it'll last a week before there's shit smeared on the walls, the wiring is stripped and the mattress has been set on fire.

These people need serious psychiatric interventions, possibly permanent, probably non-consensual, and that's a much more difficult conversation to have than "the government should give homeless people houses, duh".

Why take action on the perennial problem of poor mental health among homeless people and provide psychiatric help when you can just throw money at the problem?

Anyone else a fan of the various drug subreddits? They have some of the biggest trainwrecks I've ever seen even by reddit standards. Just got through going through the post history of an actual 12 year old crack whore who sells her panties for crack.
I'm a fan of the Xanax and other bartard subs, always good for a laugh.

Civilization can't be handed to a people its something that naturally has to grow.

What is the point? If you get all of those people to the west all they are gonna do is setup a mini middle east in whatever country they get too.
In the 60s Afghanistan was a peaceful country and was a stable monarchy. In 1964 a new constitution was enacted allowing for democracy, freedom of speech and women's rights. Afghanistan was even becoming a tourist destination. Revolutionaries destroyed all of this in 1973, and commies and mujahedeen pissed on the wreckage. I don't blame afghans for having given up at this point really.

"Im gonna use my brain by first getting massively in to debt getting a gender studies phd so i can educate other women to be slaves to the state or to whatever random company so they can be as miserable as me when im 30"

Unironically yes a big part of what is masculinty is sacrifice. What is more important then protecting your family? I think most men has had a fantasy dying in war to protect their homeland.

As with everything this is about the your future. Most women who don't have kids turn out as missrable wretches in their late 30´s and beyond.

This person has never talked to a conservative in their life. Redditors don't go outside.

That's what women are naturally different in? Reddit is worse than twitter at this rate

Post history isnt that awful, except for the one about "being discriminated against for jacking off in a public bathroom" but his comment history is something else.
