It's eating itself and I really hope it leaks that there's pedo powerjannies,

There are Kiwifarms threads on Bardfinn, Drewiepoodle and Aimee Challenor. The Aimee Challenor thread has a lot of info indicating that Aimee was groomed on reddit from childhood by another lgbt powermod Nekosune. So, the information is here but the media doesn't care to talk about it.

I am convinced Aimee Challenor still works for Reddit. They just covered it up, gave him a fake name or labeled him a "contractor" for deniability. I would bet that AwkwardTheTurtle is an employee too in some capacity. Reddit loves alphabet freakshows.

Ended up on reddit for the first time in a long time due to this thread. Every time I check it out it gets worse and worse. Are 1/3 of comments just bots?
They are actually. The site started with bots and fake users(Source). Even now, at least half of the posts on the frontpage are bots (Source), even if they're not bots, the content is similar and brainless because 92 out of the top 500 subreddits on reddit are controlled by just 4 people. Many of those mods are also in the top karma users, and they're mostly bought by corporations, corporations that also use bots to upvote the content and therefore keeping creating an amazing circle of karma farming.

I'm pretty sure there's actual comment bots as well. There's the generic copy-paste text ad bots of course but something weird I often encounter are comments that don't advertise anything and are grammatically correct but make no sense, I thought they were schizos or retards but lurking Subreddit simulators opened up a 3rd option.

Tldr: yes

Why bot comments, when you can bot votes?
The fact that Reddit by definition programs its users is bad enough, the fact that there are no safeguards around mass vote manipulation is significantly worse.

Imagine simping for a videogame character that also suck. Reddit in a nutshell.

A little off. The top reddit accou ts are used by advertising groups to advetise for corporations in a way that feels natural to reddit. Gallowboob isn't a person, but a group. It's been assumed the gallowboob account has access to background tools that allow him to inflate the numbers while reducing others to maintain the top position. Back when I used reddit, I personally had posts hidden and reposted by mods to get karma. I pointed it out, but all the janny trannies stick together. Got banned.

I'm a coronavirus scientist I fucking love science and all my hypotheses and lab notes are rick and morty big chungus minecraft.
I am also someone who doesn't even vaguely read scientific literature on the subject I claim to be an expert on. Big pharma press releases regurgitated by (((journalists))) in pop-sci rags are enough.
Dont you know every TRUE and HONEST Redditor is well educated atleast in two fields like medicine, law, history...
And still have enough free time to spend half a day sperging on Reddit.

The gist of this comment is right but I do want to point out that the powermod list you posted is a few years out of date. Cyxie and Siouxsie got banned and GallowBoob mostly quit Reddit and gave up most of his subs. The modern list is probably a *bit* more diverse.

How did Siouxsie get banned? She modded the SPLC and ADL subreddits. Was she not shabbos goy enough for the kikes or something?

God I miss reddit

I remember the old days of reddit. Back when it was edgy and contrarian, but more that I was a dumb fuck teen who couldn't tell the Wild West from an astroturfed Disney attraction and thought be able to watch someone die meant you were hardcore.

The days of being able to open a phone for 10 minutes and have mildly amusing content shoved down my fucking face for hours on end.

But then the political shit started. And the astroturfing really started. And I began finding accounts that were blatantly political that literally only were active during political seasons. And you would get called insane for pointing this out.

and then in my job, where I worked with children, you could ALWAYS find the redditers based on how they acted and their sense of humor. And its gradually hit that the average doctor and lawyer on reddit is a fucking 15 year old.

Then one by one I watched the old mods who would drop into threads from time to time get replaced by the usual suspects.

Then I got banned for calling someone a "dumbfuck glow-in-the-dark tankie" after they said Trump should be assassinated on a fucking subreddit about little plastic figures (Reason: Remember the Human). And then I thought. Yeah. That's enough reddit for today.

It feels good to realize I wasn't just going fucking schizo after all.

Rule of thumb, anyone who's worked long and hard enough to become an expert in their field is probably too busy to get into low-stakes arguments or answer inane questions about it on the internet.
Nothing reveals the pervasive level of bullshitting on the internet more than the topic of conversation turning to something you actually do professionally.
