My fellow kiwis,
As many of you noticed, there has been a considerable decline in Sneedchat activity the past few months. Once active rooms are utterly devoid of online users and very sparse in terms of messages.
I believe this isn't caused by technical issues, but instead the rooms being divided in outdated ways which no longer reflect the actual interests of the farms and subforums.
One prominent example is the Célébrité d'Internet chat.
While it's no secret that the activity of this chat was driven by the Ethan Ralph subforum which also declined, that shouldn't have been an automatic death sentence for the chat. There definitely exists a market for a chatroom where kiwis can watch and discuss fuckup e-celebs ruin themselves on stream, especially since the introduction of the Grift Wars.
This could be solved via a simple repurpose of the chat and increased promotion. The Keno Kasino chat maintains a good level of activity and supply of new users via it's promotion on top of the BMJ thread. Someting similar could be done with Célébrité d'Internet. It could be turned into essentially a general chat for Internet Famous, Sektur and Grift Wars due to these communities having a lot of overlap. Bundled with promotion on top the Grift Wars subforum (which it currently isn't), could really revive the chat and even bring in new people.
Similar stuff is happening with other chats such as Kennel Club, Deutsch or Beauty Parlour, so there should be a serious discussion about what to do with these declining chats.
