>Sound is just Frumslop noiseshit
Are people really that sensitive these days? More disturbing was that they comissioned a Frums song AFTER his shiteater fetish and other fucked up kinks got exposed (maybe that's what the content warning is actually for?).

Sourced from the SoundCloud upload of what I presume is the song. Reminder that Frums is nearly 28.
Maybe it's just me who finds these passages to be hilarious, either way, sharing this is irresistible to me.

Was the title ハテ? That's the song, he did it with some rN guy.
Wow dude that's so deep, is what I'd say if I was still 12, but I'm almost as old as him. Maybe I need to be more troonbrained to fully comprehend the philosophical profoundness of the fragility of a half-melted ice cube metaphor used to describe such exquisite composition formed by the careful creation and intertwining of sounds that ends up resembling a bunch of nothing.

It was indeed.

It reads like teenage angst. Or what some heavily autistic pseudo-philosophical fanfiction author would write in the prelude of his epic crossover fic chapter where Shrek is consumed by despair and turns into Evil Hopeless Shrek.EXE. It's humorous to me to imagine Frums the shit-eating tranny writing that in inchoate rage.

Now, adding more to the discussion, as the Rhythm Game General shouldn't just be about tranny hate...

I actually listened to the track, given my predilection for strange and experimental electronic music. I thought that maybe I'd unfortunately end up liking it and explaining how you'd be able to use the concepts while NOT being a shit-eating tranny who fantasizes about children being torn apart and tries to make his own screams sound younger.

I didn't. Perhaps it was simply due to using a download service to not give this disgusting troon a play (I doubt it), but two-thirds of the song has enough noise to be sound design-heavy, yet it tries to be impactful. It doesn't work due to the lack of dynamics. I shouldn't be surprised, these types aren't exactly known for restraint...

Mysteriously, I also found it to not be experimental enough during most of it. The intelligible elements were hardcore kicks and breakbeats with some aimless melody and background noises. I thought to myself during those two-thirds: "Couldn't I get all of this arranged competently by your typical (actual) Breakcore producer?"

The final third would have been cool if there were those dynamics to have the build-up be satisfying, but those weren't particularly present. It took me a few repetitions until I knew what they were trying to do, I was about to be even more disappointed than I already was due to thinking that the climactic part was just going to cut out in such a quick manner. That effect didn't feel intentional...

For the people who don't want to read that: Even from a standpoint of someone who enjoys experimental music, I didn't like it.
Don't know why this was accepted into Phigros, nor why it was made more difficult (and thus made of higher gravitas) than something like Distorted Fate.

The songs that come after ハテ are so much better it's ridiculous. The ACTUAL final boss song (Desultory Signals by technoplanet) is honestly really good.
My favorite song of the chapter is Petrichor though (luv me some void). It's a shame that the song coming IMMEDIATELY AFTER it is the ハテ shit.

Adding on to what @Travis Touchdown (REAL) said earlier about Dead As Disco, I'm co-signing everything they said. Easily moddable, lots of room for experimentation, and the story itself is intriguing.
But I think the real seller is the visuals - Every new boss pushes the envelope slightly further in scope without taking away from previous work. It's pretty killer. Dahlia's level is great, but Prophet's level is still #1 for me. Here's the latest boss they've done.
Really hoping they do a pass on the idol powers, though - Singularity kinda sucks in its current form(hehe) and Thunderstruck is passable but requires either synergy with other idol powers like Bass Invader or Flame Dance(Which is a LOT of meter burn). Flame Dance is a bit too strong in its current form as well, IMO.

Wild to admit this stuff to what is probably a kid, in a youtube comment section also probably full of kids

Incredible how you can be a deranged tranny fetishist that conflates fiction and reality on a site that's supposed to be all-ages (granted, ideally we'd just have the whole internet as an adult space by default), but you can't write heckin' wrongthink.

Anyways, two questions. Anyone know some experimental electronic artists that aren't troons? And are there any decent rhythm game releases nowadays (aside from what I've seen recently in this thread)? Despite my negativity towards the ones inhabiting these scenes, I really do want to play vidya and listen to sick music made by fellow people.

If we're talking -recent-, I only have experience with two

It get's hard as balls on the later difficulties. You basically hit things and jump to the rhythm of what the enemy is doing

Songs range from long to short, but I found it entertaining. You're collecting notes and avoiding obstacles to the beat of the songs

I could but that's a vast territory any specific type of electronic music you like?
Most instrumental tracks, but I find myself gravitating towards newer EDM and the high-speed complex tracks that you'd find in rhythm games. My more artistic friends have influenced me to appreciate harmonic and rhythmic complexity, too. I've occasionally tried listening to some older IDM artists (Aphex, Squarepusher, Xanopticon, the works...), and those are great as long as the audio quality is solid.

To simplify, anything that's polished and complex. The only genres that I outright can't stand are modern Pop and Rap, but those aren't strictly electronic.

As for that suggestion, that reminds me of those older Beatmania tracks that I briefly heard. Not my usual style, but this variety feels like something that I'd need on occasion. I think that I like it from the track that I'm listening to (Techno Geeks).
