One of my pet guinea pigs (yes, yes, I know...) passed on a couple days ago, she was about 5 years old and so tame that she'd follow you around and eat out of your hand, no fear. She had "grumpy old lady syndrome" and couldn't be housed with other guinea pigs, so she bonded strongly with my family and I.
She was a rescue and I had her for four years, I miss her greatly.
