This one hurts. I'm literally right in the middle of A Deepness in the Sky. I've read the other 2 Zones of Thought books. Besides the Culture books and Donaldson's Gap Cycle they're the finest, digestible SF I've ever read. I'm hoping he had another manuscript that he was working on, but I'm sure having Parkinson's probably made it difficult to write. RIP

Laurent De Brunhoff, son of the creator of the Barbar The Elephant books that continued the legacy of Barbar died at the age of 98. Found that death out from my mom.
