Damn, Shelley Duvall and this. Sounds suspicious 'found in car'..

At least Shelly lived a long life, but this guy only 46? Figure OD or suicide. Duvall seems like one of those that even if people don't know her by name they'll at least know 'Shining!' when they see her (For me Time Bandits and Popeye too). She was looking pretty rough from the diabetes in the last few years.

If you read the articles, he suffered from a sleep disorder where he couldn't sleep for days and days. It looks like he was at the end of one of those periods, and he fell asleep in his car and died of heatstroke.

Apologies for the pl, but I have a similar disorder. It's hard to describe just how bone deep the exhaustion goes. Most people who have trouble sleeping can usually catch up at some point, but with a disorder like this there is no catching up. You go and go until you fall over, and the sleep you do get is closer to unconsciousness than it is to normal, and you can sleep for thirty hours straight and it's never, ever enough. I can well believe that this poor man couldn't fight the urge to finally sleep, and when he did, his service dog was unable to wake him and died too.

Shelley Duvall has died from diabetes complications 3 days after her 75th birthday.

What if she was right about Robin Williams being reincarnated as a shapeshifter?

RIP Olive Oyl.
The fact that two actors from two famous properties — “ALF” and “The Shining” — both died on the same timing of me finding out about this is just unexpected.

Even more so in the case of Shelley Duvall since I thought she was a lot older, and plus ALF is one of those guilty pleasure shows that you can not really dislike.

Damn. I had a situation once where I was badly sleep deprived by my own actions, getting 3-4 hours max a night for the better part of a year. My work capability degraded so badly I would nod off at my desk in the middle of the day, and would have to bite my cheeks to keep awake in meetings. At one time I fell asleep at a red light, had to be honked awake. That scared the fuck out of me, imagining what could have happened had my foot come off the brake.

And that was WITH some amount of sleep. I cannot imagine how godawful it would be to be completely sleep deprived for days and days on end. It would be like living a nightmare I bet.

It's clear from the photos how much Gregory loved little Hans. Someone like this doesn't commit suicide in the same car his beloved pup is in and then let him die of a heat stroke. It was a terrible accident.

I hope they are reunited again somewhere.

Just found out that Burt "Sal" Wilson the voice behind Fatz the Gorilla in the animatronic Rock-afire explosion band at Showbiz pizza sadly passed away back in December 28th, 2023 at 68 years old.

Him with Michael Jackson

A lot of people grew up with the Rock-afire Explosion band but it's good to remember that there were real people behind the characters.

Olive Oyl and the Show Biz Pizza Bear!?

Someone find Rich Evans RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

Goddamn it I loved her so much.
She had a wonderful dorky vibe and sense of vulnerability that really made her great in roles like Wendy in The Shining. I was pretty pissed at Kubrick that he was vicious and abusive to her during the filming and may have even given her the PTSD that led to her later craziness.

Remember watching her Faerie Tale Theatre videos a while back. They are a lot of fun, if you like fairytales or if you have children who might enjoy them. The above clip is just a preview from her official youtube channel, where you can find more of her stuff. Noticed many channels had playlists of her work, too. RIP Shelley Duvall, thank you for the memories & great works.

Wow, damn near everyone involved in that Faerie Tale Theatre, even the bylines in the credits either had at that time or went on to have major acting careers. Very impressive and influential program it seems!
