SaveAFox got taken over by a crypto scam last year. Either they were running some two-bit grift the whole time or they were just well-meaning morons.

No receipts yet, just rumors. Hard to say if the investigation means anything.

So far main comments seem to be about lack of transparency on how/why certain animals died in their care, she let her 3 yo daughter interact with these animals in a way that wasn’t particularly safe, and she was basically an exotic breeder of jackals (unlicensed?), but tried to dress it up as she was breeding them for zoos… without having any existing contact with zoos for placements. While being previously very anti-zoo.

There seems to be a pretty extensive google document tracking their animals and their fate if anyone can download it to archive.

I can see they are already getting some replies telling them to kill themselves for bullying Mikayla when they seem to mostly have just kept track of what SaF was posting themselves.

She definitely wont be going somewhere pleasant for this. Such an insanely selfish decision to leave your Husband, Animal Rescue, and Child behind. I feel torn because she did seem like a genuinely caring person, but this is just mindboggling.

It feels like the reddit is shitting the bed and panicking thinking they may get sued or get some kind of retaliation sent their way. Hoping someone out there archived some of that and it'll eventually find its way here.

The whole situation just feels so preventable on their end, but hindsight is 20/20.

I hate seeing honest and goodwill people fucked up like this. I'm a little wrenched about the video I saw where her husband was trying to get through what he had written down and stopped. The last time I was this emotionally tugged was when I watched Steve Wallis (Camping with Steve, a canadian dude who goes out camping in unconventional places and usually gets away with it) like, he had not only lost the love of his life that was his wife, but he also like lost his best friend too a year apart after losing his wife. And that's a man who's really down to earth, someone you could actually buddy with and have a few drinks. It's heartwrenching to see people like that and the impact of this case here, get so fucked up whether it's by random circumstance or planned chaos.

And why am I not surprised the Redditards with their attention-whoring asses, feel the need to play detective? They haven't learned a damn thing since being proven how fucking moronic they were for thinking they solved the Boston Marathon Bombing incident.

So, there is a whole hate subreddit devoted to the SaveAFox lady. She died, and they quickly went private.

Their accusation is she wasn’t really rescuing foxes from fur farms, just making YouTube money and encouraging people to buy exotic pets. She had a viral fox named Finnegan, which they saw as proof she was in it for the clout. These weren’t your usual incel reply guys; they actually thought they were helping the animals. Animal rescue folks tend to be hardcore: they’re not just anti-zoo, they’re anti-pet.

I am perpetually reminded everyday that Reddit is one of the worst places on the internet and everything that Reddit does gets blamed on places like the Kiwi Farms makes me realize how most Redditors think their shit don’t think.

It’s absolutely devastating to hear about the loss of one of the people running SaveAFox.

I recently was talking about the channel with a friend of mine and watched Fox vids. It’s devastating to hear this just happened.

I'm not an animal activist of any kind, but what I hate the most is rewarding people commit suicide by making them up to be saints and making all the people beefing with them before they killed themselves to be irredeemable assholes, regardless of whether or not their claims held water.
