I honestly to this day can't believe that was an acceptable storyline, especially the way it started with Luke raping her.

The role I will always remember him for is Philo in the Weird Al film UHF. I was around for the whole Luke and Laura thing too, but UHF is one my favorite movies and he was great in it.

This reminds me of a detail I once read in the Hollywood, Interrupted book. There was a section about the famed Crossroads school which is a strictly art and theater school in Los Angeles. So of course, celebrity children are commonly students there.

One detail had a teacher talk about the students, specifically ones who are children of famous people. Elliott Gould's son got a mention. Apparently Elliott Gould never went to any of his son's events, and it seemed like he wasn't involved with his son's activities at all.

It made me think that this isn't an uncommon thing, and might be why so many have problems. Their parents aren't around.

Hollywood children are trophies or decoration, like those yappy miniature poodles in rich yuppie women's purses. When not on display, they're a nuisance, often cared for by a hired caretaker and largely ignored by the parents.

And the parents. They're typically away a lot, it seems, because of their careers. Or they're drunks or drug addicts (prescription or illegal) who leave their children to be raised by nannies.

I'd hate to be a child of a rich person. It sounds lonely as hell tbh.

I don't understand why famous people tend to think they're too important to raise their children.

I have theories, of course. Pregnancies and babies are fashion items to a narcissist. But once those fashion items begin walking and talking suddenly they aren't so en vogue.

But roB REinEr wAs SUcH a wOnDerFUl maN. He couldn't have been that great since he seems to be a graduate of the Joe Biden school of parenting. You won't see Rick Moranis's kids carving him up for drug money.

I know three and they're were all about as nepo baby as they come. One kept on passing out at work. We find out they have a drinking problem after transferring to another store. Then, they moved out of state. One I have a long ass story about and don't care to share here. One got molested also a long ass story.

I'd argue that the worst part of being raised in a wealthy household is heightened expectations for success (not in all cases, obvs). Constantly being compared not only to peers, but to your genitors, too.

If your family is also famous, now you have the world casting their opinion about you, pleasant or otherwise.

Loneliness can be had for far less. (See: latchkey kids.)
 
Wayne Moss has passed away (no info on his age). He was the floor director on "Fraggle Rock". By all accounts a really nice guy, and very good at his job.

Ah, that really sucks. And his passing will go unnoticed due to the Rob Reiner media frenzy.
I remember Disney did a TV special on ABC with Gil Gerard and Ernie Reyes Jr. It was just a huge advertisement for the brand-new Star Tours ride at Disneyland. And I loved it. C-3PO even raps about space travel.

They're Hollywoodland people. Every child that's born to parents in that industry are very lucky to be alive. Male actors almost always try to get their children aborted and its an open secret that entertainment companies always try to get singers and actresses to abort their children. And with California being a 2-party consent state for recording, its pretty much legal for film and music companies to threaten to fire talent if they don't get an abortion. This is why women in that industry are so fucked up in the head. So if a child has an actor as a father, you can bet your ass that the actor - with encouragement from the studio - tried everything to keep that child from being born alive. Such men never become good fathers since the coping mechanism they adopt for trying to kill their child is to do whatever they can to ruin their kid's life in order to "justify" their desire to have had the kid aborted.

I bet the guy who was murdered by his son was a terrible father who tried everything to ruin his son's life with the hope that the kid would commit suicide.
