Actress, professional horseback rider, lifeguard, and deep sea diving instructor Mary Louise Weller has passed away at the age of 79. She is probably best remembered for her role as Mandy in 1978's "National Lampoon's Animal House", and as Clair in the Chuck Norris film "Forced Vengeance".

Also, Italian actor Peppino Mazzullo passed away a few days ago at the age of 100. He was the voice of Topo Gigio, the little mouse puppet made famous (in America) on the Ed Sullivan Show. Mazzullo voiced the character for 45 years, stepping aside in 2006.

Chuck Varga, member of the shock metal band GWAR, died at the age of 68.
I am late and very LGBTQIAP+++ friendly, but Chuck did a podcast with Don Draculich two years ago. You may also know Don as Sleazy P Martini, who has popped up in Styxhexenhammer666's thread. Both are OG GWAR founders and art crew. Chuck did two songs with the band, Sexecutioner, and Ragnarok. He also did flyer art and art for GWAR's zine in the 90s. He retired from the group around 1996.

He tore it up live in 2019 outside the GWARbar, doing Sexecutioner with RAWG, the non-costumed version of the band.

Magnificent!

Long time NHL hockey defenceman Lyle Odelein passed away on Friday from a heart attack at the age of 58. He played parts of 16 seasons in the league, won a Stanley Cup with Montreal during the 1992/93 season, and was the first captain in the history of the Columbus Blue Jackets when they entered the league for the 2000/01 season.

Hirata Runa, 8-year-old Japanese pop star, dies days after concert

Hirata Runa, a Japanese child pop star, died just days after performing a concert, apparently from flu-related complications.

Runa, an 8-year-old trainee member of the Japanese girl group DIANNA, “passed away peacefully” around 4 a.m. on Sept. 25, her family said in a statement shared on X.

Her talent agency confirmed the young singer died of myocarditis caused by influenza. According to Mayo Clinic, myocarditis is the “inflammation of the heart muscle,” which can “reduce the heart’s ability to pump blood” and trigger additional symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath and rapid or irregular heartbeat.
