RIP Thread

Is that the anime that was featured in Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend" video? I remember that video being one of the only ways to watch anime on TV at the time.
Yes, "Girlfriend" used footage from Space Adventure Cobra and "I've Been Waiting" used footage from various Urusei Yatsura movies and OVAs (but not Beautiful Dreamer, the best of the Urusei Yatsura movies, because I think he licensed the footage through AnimEigo and they didn't have the North American rights to Beautiful Dreamer).

RIP David McCallum, who played Russian agent Illya Kuryakin in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., co-starring alongside Robert Vaughn as American agent Napoleon Solo, and, a few decades later, he played chief medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard in NCIS and JAG. He also supplied the voice of Alfred Pennyworth in a handful of direct-to-video Batman animated movies. He died in New York City of natural causes at 90.

Awww, damn.
He was also in one of my favorite WWII films The Great Escape.
The mad man became an expert in forensic medical examination while playing his role as Ducky in NCIS.

He was my favorite NCIS character who wasn't Ziva.
What’s really insane is that my father hasn’t talked about much of NCIS, despite the fact that recently he’s been doing a lot of marathon binge watching of the show. He always used to love the interactions of Ducky and Mr. Palmer, more so than the interactions between Special Agent Gibbs and Denozo.

I’m sure he’s probably grieving in a quiet way, since he still watches the show to this day. Though, it is nice to see The Man From U.N.C.L.E still get mentioned in current day, since I don’t see it talked as much regarding favorite action series from the Golden Age of TV.

Hall of Fame baseball player Brooks Robinson died today at the age of 86. He spent parts of 23 years playing for the Baltimore Orioles and was an 18 time All-Star, a one-time MVP award winner and a two-time World Series winner.
There's one good article about Brooks Robinson who might be worth to check an eye.

The great Brooks Robinson (1937–2023)

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

One of my favorite memories was hearing my late father say that he saw Brooks Robinson play in Cuba. Back then, many young players from Willie Mays to a young lefty Tommy Lasorda, played in the Cuban winter league hoping to impress their organization before spring training.
As you probably know, Brooks Robinson died on Tuesday, at age 86. His story is wonderful:

Is Dobby next or what?
I hope Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe are next. Backstabbing traitorous fucks who owe the fact they even have careers to J.K. Rowling and stabbed her in the back for fucking troons.
Diane Feinstein is fucking dead finally

Now don't do anything mean with this exploitable image:

I'm reporting your post for misinformation. Everybody knows that Mx. (((Feinstein))) died sometime last year during her "shingles" sabbatical, and ever since then, senate aides have just been wheeling her dessicated corpse around DC, Weekend At Bernie's style. In other news, I've been humming the tune "Ding-Dong The Wicked Bitch Is Dead!" randomly all day for some mysterious reason... 🤔

In all seriousness though this senile bitch was voting on legislation literally the day before she died, and others like Biden, Mitch McConnell, Robert Byrd, Strom Thurmond, and many others are perfect examples of why age and term limits should be a requirement in US government, along with competency and health tests on a regular basis. Political sperging complaints aside, it's absurd that 75, 80, 90+ year old people with glaringly obvious mental deficiencies should NOT be responsible for legislation that impacts the US.
