RIP Thread

I was literally watching the “Don’t Die” episode of The Return when I saw the news.

I’ve been rewatching the show for the first time in years. I’d always enjoyed his work, but this time has been one of those rare experiences where you’re in a very specific place in your life for a very specific piece of art to slot directly into your soul and blast you wide open. It’s been incredible.

His unquenchable love for humanity, even though we’re all weird bug people, is something I’ll try to emulate for the rest of my life.

An artist and a legend. Really heartwarming to see so many people appreciate and speak fondly of him in this thread. Without him, we'd be missing a lot of great things that came after him. Angelo Badalamenti will be waiting for him to make more crazy shit in a different life.

This year's Twin Peaks Day will be incredibly sad.

Losing David Lynch torpedoed my whole week. What a fucking loss. bill-murray.gif

A devastating start to the year. I don't know what afterlife he thought he would experience but I'm sure the weather and coffee are just wonderful where he went.

And always remember to write down your ideas!

For those that don't care for sportsball (or live in Wisconsin), Uecker was also known for playing a caricature of himself in the 90s Major League baseball movie franchise with Charlie Sheen.
He was also known for playing a caricature of a major league baseball player in the MLB. He's an icon of sports comedy.

I remember my teacher showing us The Straight Story my freshman year. Good taste on her part. A great movie all around.

I can't wait for the RLM tribute where Jay and Josh sit in front of a red curtain for 3 hours and create a tierlist of every single David Lynch project.

On one hand,
I loved his works
On the other....
Fuck you, you signed the Roman Polanski petition.
