Mike Love gets all the blame by asking “do you think this will do well in the charts” a few times.

Mike gets the blame for being one of the biggest cunts to trample upon the face of the earth. I hope he lives another two hundred years, and feels every second of it.

Non power-leveling anecdote: A few years ago, I was delayed checking into a hotel to get some sleep after a long and busy day because Mike Love was in front of me, trying to get comped a free pint of ice cream by a front desk clerk who had no clue who he was; and didn’t care to find out. Love repeatedly exclaimed “But I’m The Beach Boys!”, before finally sucking it up and paying.

Brian Wilson, lead singer and songwriter of The Beach Boys, has died at 82.

This explains why I heard Beach Boys songs on WXRT today.

Ananda Lewis, MTV VJ and talk show host died at the age of 52.
I remember her from MTV News. It's a shame she went the woo route trying to deal with breast cancer. Never use woo to treat cancer, everyone.

Harris Yulin, actor in the movies Scarface, Training Day, Ozark, and more died at the age of 87.
One of my favorite type of actor, you've seen him in so many movies, and you go "it's that guy" and they do well in every role, never get top billing, but have more credits than most stars. RIP.
Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan are also the only surviving members of the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys.
TIL Bob Dylan is still alive. He looked like he 70 years old in the 80's and I'd always assumed he died 20 years ago.

Kelly Groucutt has been dead a while. Richard Tandy just died. Two of three of the original strings section are gone.

When Jeff dies, you might as well cancel music altogether. It'll be a horrible day.

Greatest band of all time.
I heard of Brian Wilson's passing earlier today, ironically while listening to "Fire On High" from ELO. Really a bigger loss than most people realize.
I'll be in shambles when David Gilmour finally shuffles off the mortal coil. Probably will with Roger Waters too, even though he's a dick.

For the final 15 years of his life he was obviously in a Joe Biden situation and his family was covering it up. He was being elder abused at the end and being trotted out on stage in a walker
The same thing is going on right now with Frankie Valli. Poor dude is a walling corpse being trotted out on stage at 91 goddamn years old and is completely out of it. His handlers are horrible people and he needs to be retired and enjoying what time he has left in the best way he can.

Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan are also the only surviving members of the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys.
That group could have been one of the most important in music history, if Roy Orbison didn’t die right after their first album came out.
Truly one of the most unexpected and eclectic groups of musicians who ever got together and recorded an album. They were all so great that they stood out on their own, but as a group somehow managed to compliment and not outshine each other.

That being said, Mike Love is still a cunt.
The question is, are these people, these hipster nerds and other creatures ragging on Mike Love because they're actual fans who recognize that he didn't exactly help when Wilson was spiraling or just because they "got into" the Beach Boys via osmosis from their "media literate" homo retard hipster friends (the sort of people who post about how the Beach Boys' early stuff was bad and for some reason believe it was all written by Mike Love) and don't like him because he's a typical boomer asshole.

Yeah, I remember her too. Weirdly enough, she seems to have a son with Will Smith’s brother. Might have been married to him, but the sources on that are sketchy. Now I’m wondering why she went the woo route…

Mike Love is responsible for Kokomo. Hell isn't enough of a punishment.

Unless that fucking song is on repeat as he burns for all eternity.

I'll be in shambles when David Gilmour finally shuffles off the mortal coil
I was going to post this myself but instead I'll just quote and agree.

(Don't agree about Rog though. And he'd better go first.)

Actor Clifton Jones passed away earlier this month at the age of 88. He was the voice of Blackavar in "Watership Down", but his biggest role was as David Kano, who operated Moonbase Alpha's Main Computer on "Space: 1999". He passed away about the same time as Prentis Hancock, another regular on the show. I'm a big fan of that first series, so this month is The Worst Timeline Award Winner for me.
