RIP Thread

This is a really touching message. You can tell those two really respected each other. I wish I had a bro like that in my own life.

Man this sucks. It's not like I knew him personally or anything, but its sad to see the old gods of gaming dying out and leaving us with current day """developers""" that just care about making games gay and cringe and milking the consumers.

Harada and Itagaki's rivalry was legendary. You should read this even if you don't care about video games because it's an awesome story from a time when lead developers put their whole soul into every aspect of their product including market analysis and PR.

I realized that their isn't much newer video game designers/producers like the older guard like Itagaki. It kind of a sad realization that there is less standout figures in an industry that is increasingly less creative and less stand out figures.
Instructions unclear, the standout figures of today are Zoe Quinn, Toby Fox, Dr. Disrespect, Maldavius Figtree...

it's sad that his last game was devil's third.
no word yet what happened?
Sounds as if he knew whatever it was was coming. I hope his passing was smooth and quick. Rest easy, Itagaki.

Damn. I really enjoyed his sound, his playing, and his hells-a-popping live guitar solos (guitars "spontaneously" combusting, using guitars as "laser guns" to pop balloons of confetti, etc). He was the guitarist that made me determined to be a Gibson Les Paul player.

And his rendition of the Rolling Stones' song "2000 Man" is a favourite of mine.

Damn. Huge Ace fan here. Glad I managed to go see him early this year when he came through on tour. Did a bunch of solo stuff, plus a ton of KISS songs he pulled off great because two of his band members also sang and sounded exactly like Paul and Gene for their songs. Was really looking forward to the album he'd been working on.

RIP Spaceman.
