RIP Thread

Chip Taylor, songwriter that wrote songs like Wild Thing for the rock band The Troggs and Angel Of The Morning for Juice Newton, died at the age of 86.
Real name James Wesley Voight, Jon Voight's brother and Angelina Jolie's uncle.

Juice Newton's "Angel in the Morning" was a cover of a song original recorded in 1967 by Evie Sands and the most famous pre-Newton version was Merilee Rush's recording in 1968.

James Tolkan, actor from tons of movies (Wargames, Back to the Future, Top Gun, Masters of the Universe), passed away at the age of 94.

RIP, Strickland (Jesus, didn't that guy ever have hair?!)
Best quote (as CDR Tom "Stinger" Jardian):
And, if you screw up just this much, you'll be flying a cargo plane full of rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong!

Juice Newton's "Angel in the Morning"
Thought Juice was going to be black. Not the case.

Her name sounds like the worst-possible flanker idea for the figgy snack cake delights that everyone seems to have in their pantry despite not having bought a pack since 1981.

I was around and aware when Chip Taylor's song, rendered by Juice Newton, became big. While it is a song of my Coming of Age, it was irritating as FUCK. But I still like it.

Wild Thing was the BOMB!.

We have another theory that does though, the theory of being extremely retarded
A political extremist on the left wants an authoritarian state. A political extremist on the right wants an authoritarian state.
I disagree with both of you. Extremists just use politics as a means of coping with their own problems in their own lives and communities. They don't feel as though they can thrive in society as it is so they seek anything that will destroy the current system and punish the people and systems that they blame for their misery. So they are similar but politics isn't the cause. Correlation does not imply causation.
