Yeah, honestly I think it's far too early to be calling this a lost cause. I've seen people in my major who can't draw worth crap when they start out, but they take classes to learn how to actually draw, and then maybe they still can't draw too well, but they at least have a better understanding of form and perspective and composition, and that's fine.
If this is genuinely what Destiny wants to pursue, then excellent! She should absolutely go for it! Honestly I'm really happy for this development, because just a few months ago she was telling me that she had absolutely no intention to ever pursue any higher education or really make anything of herself, but now here she is, showing interest in getting a bachelors. And game development is one of the most sperg-friendly fields I know of.
I can't see this as anything but a good thing.

I'm pretty sure her grandmother ended up recovering just fine. Her mom is still alive, I'm not sure what happened with the whole kidney failure thing.
I'm not sure exactly why her stepfather is dying, but it seems to be some sort of terminal disease.

hey guys, guess who didn't read the million bazillion trillion pages and sift through tons and tons of horrible roleplaying with deviantart icons of characters i don't know, and tons and tons of shitty base recolors.
Rose is more of a sadcow in my opinion. If she were to do just the slightest thing to improve SOMETHING at all, her taste in people, picking up a pencil, putting in some effort into a roleplay, anything, my head would rocket to the moon in surprise.
2 questions:
- what's the stuff about this Greg guy? I'm waaaay behind here. He's an asshole, I get that. What's going on here? Is there anything remarkable about him? What exactly did he do?
- what's so remarkable about Rose besides the little "gave birth to a suicune" story? She seems like a typical bottom feeder tartlet multiplied by a bazillion. making her the equivalent of all the other rock bottom, bottom of the barrel shitty shit tartlets put together. Same with DF01, at least DF01 improved her art significantly and has the "32 year old mary sue who wants to bang that weird fat bear cyborg thing from disney's treasure planet" thing going for her.

I haven't been following this thread that closely lately, so I might be missing something/mixing something up. Here are all the things I know:
- Rose's grandparents seem to have a problem with Greg and have made a fuss about their relationship.
- He and Rose are already talking about marriage even though both don't seem to have a job and don't know each other that long.
- He seems to be friends with lots of attractive females on facebook.
- He has been chatting with at least two female users from this forum. On at least one instance he's been trying to cheat with Rose and saying that he finds Rose weird.

At first we've been all laughing at her fanarts and stories and her obvious pregnancy fetish, but by now most of us feel rather bad about her (her stepfather is dying, her mother and grandmother are/were sick, the fact that her boyfriend is turning out to be an asshole). There are some users here who have tried to warn her about Greg (with physical proof) or were trying to help her, but so far she still believes that Greg is the most nicest and innocent man in the world and that everyone who says otherwise is a lying troll.
Most of us feel bad by how easy she keeps falling for Greg or other trolls or by how bad the situation with her family is right now. That's why most of us keep following her right now and why some are still trying to help her. Right now we're not so much laughing as sympathizing with her. (It's Greg we're more laughing at right now.)

At this point Greg is the true and honest lolcow and Destiny (that's her real name, but she doesn't really like it so she goes by Rose sometimes) is just this sweet, simple girl. The other thing that creeps us about Greg is that he has an incest fetish. Like, hardcore. He makes Destiny play fantasies (the role play is her idea though, the subject matter is not) in which he is a father molesting his daughter or he has two daughters and they make out.
It makes you worry since Destiny is so hell bent on having babies.
