The most hilarious part of ridiculous spergouts like this--and this is from any lolcow, not just NPCNet--is the cowardly hypocrisy. If any of them actually believed the things that they said: that there is systemic violence against black/queer/female people and the police are complicit in it; if the stakes really were that high, then why do they never do anything other than tweet and play games? If the enemy is so powerful and hell-bent on their extermination, why does nothing of substance ever happen besides Twitter spergery? WHy does the Resistance(TM) that hates the legal system run away at the first sign of pushback and cry for the legal system to save them?

The Bolsheviks didn't end the Russian monarchy by burning down the Winter Palace; they did that by killing the Romanov family. The Winter Palace still stands today. The Weathermen, the Baader-Meinhof gang, Shining Path, take your pick of the Soviet-era radical left movements, all of them were ready and willing to kill because they believed the stakes were that high. NPCNet troons claim to be fighting for their lives and the future of civilization, yet all they ever do is whine.

But they also believe "WoRdS aRe ViOlEnCe", so maybe in their warped view the endless signalling and sperging is actually committing violence against the System.

This is not forum moderation. This is getting into the weeds of an argument with multiple valid points of view, deciding only one is acceptable, and going to great, self-important lengths to explain why.

At this point I have to imagine the only people who go to RPG.net are people who enjoy the humiliation of being lorded over by pompous assholes.

Hmmm wow, mod really reading a lot of stuff into it that's just not there, and putting a whole lot of words into the poster's mouth. It's like:

Reasonable Poster: "I think these people should be held accountable for stealing equipment, destroying a road, and effectively holding 500 people hostage."

Mod Outrage: "OMG WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU'RE COMMITTING LITERAL GENOCIDE JUST BY POSTING THAT, YOU ARE LITERALLY THE MOST DESPICABLE HITLER THAT EVER HITLERED IN THE HISTORY OF HITLERING RAAWRRRHAGHGHGHGHGRHARHRGH."

If they consume tabletop material at all, it's as a consumption paraphilia like funko pop buyers. They do it to get the rush of buying game books or virtue signaling.

Not even that anymore. As someone pointed out further up a poster noticed that the current X-Men run has the X-Men as colonisers in the Savage Lands where the original tribes have mysteriously disappeared (along with other similar tropes that should bring out the screaming). They got banned for making the thread starter whine like a 12 year old.

RPG.net is quite happy with hypocrisy. And calling it out will be a double banning·
