RPGnet Forums

Remember how they were defending the X-Cards because it seemed like an great idea, at the time? It kind of makes you wonder just how much of their userbase actually reports shit that's vaguely offensive.
The mods have commented numerous times that when someone says something even vaguely problematic, they get flooded with reports.

Koebel built his brand around giving SocJus friendly advice to GMs, and then he proceeded to disregard his own advice. Even giving him the benefit of the doubt that what he did was a mistake, it still shows that even the most woke are just a few poorly chosen words away from being excommunicated. It's extra ironic given how if anyone else would have done this, Koebel would have been the first to publicly call for their head. "The hateful reaction was so severe that it shattered my previous beliefs about how my community operates." Bullshit. Karma is a bitch, Adam.
Thanks!

Yeah I heard it said once by Jon Gabriel that woke: "[is] a religion with many paths to damnation, but none to redemption."

Though it would not surprise me in the least that if one looked into it, Koebel would end up proving that one cannot live or operate a game purely by SocJus standards, it's just impossible (or not fun).

And often I think it explains much about the RPGnet mods. They know the crab bucket is just waiting to tear them limb from limb, so they have to practice their constant tyranny because to let up for even a moment means their own will rip them apart. (I think James Lindsay said something of this once in a discussion that people on the left today are constantly in fear of this sword of Damocles hanging over them)

And it's such ARDUOS EMOTIONAL LABOR to have to put up with all of those reports.

Guarantee that not a one of those moderators have read a single piece of Chinese classical literature, know any FOB Chinese, or are even marginally literate in East Asian history. This is the East Asian version of this meme:

There's a large number of racists who know far more about the people they are racist against than the people defending them. If you want to be properly racist, after all, it helps to know what you're being racist about. Even the generic racist who operates based on stereotypes is at the same level as the general level of an anti-racist, it's just what is the top end of anti-racist knowledge is the same as the bottom end of racist knowledge.

I vacillate between whether that's true or not. They certainly have a userbase that would do that sort of thing, but I also suspect that sometimes it's just an excuse for them to do whatever they want under the guise of board consensus.

There is not a single RPG.net moderator whose lot and personality wouldn't be improved by a severe beating, or even a whole series of them.
Or a shock collar that zapped them with an increasing charge every time they started tarding out.

Meaning pretty much any time it heard their keyboard clicking or words coming out of their mouths.

Just send them to the loony bin, they'd have all the time in the world to convince doctors that microaggressions they see everywhere are real and not paranoid schizophrenia.

Wake up everyone, new racial slur just dropped.

Current struggle session is about leftist breadtubers:
In true leftist fashion the thread quickly turns to arguing over who is really a leftist.

Zeea gets emotionally invested and derails an A-Game thread.

No infraction for them of course, mods are above such petty concerns.

This only applies to politics of course, not biology.

Yeah, I noticed that they've occasionally "forget" to actually restrict someone's privileges just so they can screw him over even harder.
I think they may have said previously that they can't do it, but they've upgraded their software since.

And yes, I will never stop mocking the mods for banning people who disagree with or criticize the hive mind.
