Eh, the whole thing is mostly just a weird takeover attempt by Jax Bryk etc, and even has some weird crossover silliness with the Eliezer Yudkowsky/SlateStarCodex "rationality" peeps.

Basically there's a few girls with a strong interest in tech and gaming, who learned to feign sexual interest in exchange for attention / a foot in the door, then cry sexual assault as soon as they secure their position, then repeat the process over and over again within the same communities. And as long as you have people willing to white knight that can't imagine ever being accused themselves, those white knights will continue to fall for it, and continue to get metoo'd, until there's no one left to take down.

This works especially well because usually the "white knight" male feminist supporter ally schtick is usually just a front for getting a little rapey anyways, so not much smoke has to be produced to draw attention to the existing fires.

I no longer think quite so highly of it (for one thing, like most WW stuff it is so of the 1990s that it feels incredibly antiquated now), but it's leagues better than Mage 20, which was a horror show from start to finish. I really think they just didn't bother to edit him; the Disparates section alone could have been completely excised.

They pretty much copy-pasted parts from old books to the new one. The tables are a gigantic mess.

Mage was an amazing idea and a reasonably well built system (for 1993) tied to an incredibly shitty metaplot and setting that didn't even match its amazing idea. Mage deserved Unknown Army's setting.
